The students that are stuck in the middle of this situation are truly stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand they could choose to not go to college, but most of them take out major loans to help cover what is left uncovered by the limited financial aid that they do receive. Meanwhile lesser fortunate students get close to full financial aid for college. This need for education coupled with the loans to help pay off the uncovered portion of college is part of the reason that America as a whole is in debt.
The true question here is why are people getting stuck in the middle when everyone supposedly has an equal chance to attend college? Many people believe that this situation is nothing more than society profiling. This concept makes perfect sense to me, if everyone no matter what background gets the same great college education then who will work our societies lower end jobs?
For the people that are coming from a very financially lacking background, there is a lot of financial help for college because the government wants the economy to rise and the education within its country to be higher. But for those people that don't earn enough money and cannot receive financial aid from their parents, they sometimes cannot attend or have to place heavy loans for the financial help. Loans which also help support our economy and keep major credit card companies and loan companies in business.
Our current society is comprised of three main levels, there is the lower class, middle class and the upper class. These three levels make up the basic societies in almost ever part of the world, the main difference between them is what kind of background the people within those levels come from. It is proven that within society people tend to stay within their starting society.
It is also proven that to successfully move up in society levels one must only have a good education. It now becomes clearer as to what the government and school officials are doing. They are helping to move the lower class up in the society levels while letting the higher class levels have their way because money is no problem, and letting the middle class level sit and fulfill their sociological role.
This control over peoples life needs to end, while we may not feel it as painfully as a terrorist attack we do witness the effects every single day. There may be no good way to stop such sociological profiling, but sitting by and letting it happen is not the way to help the situation.
