There are many non-physical ways to discipline a child and get your point across. Spanking may work for some children, but that doesn't make it right. For the most part, spanking is even going to make a child rebel more. This will especially happen if negative attention is the only kind of attention you give them.
Using corporal punishment is a quick and temporary solution, but children won't learn unless they fully understand why they were wrong. Spanking can even hurt children, especially if you spank them out of anger. Children are going be themselves and do what they want, no amount of spanking is ever going to make them into something they're not. Parents may know best, but they're imperfect too. Parents need to show children that they love them and care about their well-being.
Children are going be themselves and do their own thing, no amount of spanking is going to change that. What right do we have to strike or hit a child? We may be adults, but we're imperfect too. Children weren't created for spanking or hitting, they were created to be loved and cherished. Spanking or hitting a child isn't going to show them that you love them.
Most times, spanking lets a child know that they succeeded in making you angry. If that was their goal, you only worsened the situation. Spanking gives the message that violence is always the answer when it never is. If a problem can't be solved with communication, it can't be solved physically.
Children are hyper, energetic, and even mischievous. We need to allow them to be active and explore the world. If we want children to behave and act right, we have to respect them. Spanking children only shows dominating authority over them. Spanking isn't going to teach children ethics, principles, and morals; which is what they need to learn.
