It's Hard to Believe Diane Sawyer Will Leave Good Morning America

To many people Diane Sawyer has been known as an attractive face to view and a pleasant voice to listen to while drinking their morning coffee and watching Good Morning America. Why would Diane Sawyer leave such a popular show such as Good Morning America?

There have been enough details and rumors about Diane Sawyer's next adventure since the announcement that she is leaving Good Morning America. Most know she is scheduled to take the place of Charles Gibson on World News Tonight beginning December 21st of this year.

It would make sense to most people if Ms. Sawyer relocated to a remote area to write a book or two. But that would be what the average person would want to do. Diane Sawyer is not average on any level.

In 1967 Ms. Sawyer earned her degree from Wellesley College. Although this degree is in English, Ms Sawyer turned her attention to law for a short time. After completing a semester of law school at the University of Louisville, Ms. Sawyer switched her major to journalism.

By 1970 Diane Sawyer was working for the Nixon administration staying with Nixon during his resignation. Ms. Sawyer continued to work for Richard Nixon while he wrote his memoirs.

Many of us became familiar with Diane Sawyer after she joined Good Morning America in 1999. It is reported that during the last 10 year Ms. Sawyer has done 2881 shows. That is a lot of mornings to be up before dawn. I hope those days made her happy.
