Why Did Britney Spears Lose Custody of Her Kids - the Lesser of Two Evils?

J. White
...Well, maybe the lesser of two evils is a little bit extreme when talking about Britney losing her kids. But lets face it, I don't think that she is fit to be a mother. Granted she has a lot of issues, the court looks at what is the best for the kids...at least we hope.

So, why did Britney lose custody of her kids?

According to many sources...
-Britney was ordered to meet with a drug counselor and do drug testing, and she didn't.
-She was told to get a valid driver's license and was caught driving her kids around Malibu.
-She was supposed to take parenting classes, and she didn't.
And more of course....

Let's be honest...Britney's performance at the VMA's not only showed that she was done as a performer, uses at least one form of substance abuse (alcohol), but more importantly that...

She doesn't care.

Being a parent is a lot of responsibility. People who don't care about themselves don't care about responsibility, and they don't care about kids. I am not saying that she would do things actively to harm them, but "not caring" means that she passively will harm them by doing nothing. She is not even doing what she is supposed to do to even get custody of her kids, so why would she do whats even harder...take care of and support them over time.

But what about Kevin Federline?

Kevin has never really impressed me as being some wonderful father type. Who knows, maybe they just don't have as much dirt on him. But he doesn't seem "as bad" as Britney.

The real victim is the kids. Who cares if they will materially have whatever they want, they are caught in the middle of other people's carelessness and selfishness. Money really isn't everything. Granted there are lots of children that are neglected by parents, celebrities like Britney Spears and "K-Fed" are in the eyes of everyone, whether they like it or not.

I'm sure its "wonderfully hard" to be a celebrity, but when does it stop? Even with Britney losing custody of her children, will she stop?

Leave the girl alone. She obviously has some things to work out within herself. What about the way she was treated by her husband while she was married? Don't you think that has any part in why shes getting a divorce in the first place? Oh, and I'm sure Mr. Fettercheese dad's drunken party's really show that THEY should have custody of the children. It takes one to know one.
