Why Did God Leave Some Things Unexplained?

Timothy Scheiman
Did you ever wonder why God left some things unexplained? We hear about Alien beings and and UFO sightings and we wonder if they really do exist. The bible does not specifically talk about Aliens or UFOs. The bible doesn't talk about many things that we wonder about. There are so many unanswered questions that we want to know about. In this article I intend to explain the main reason why so many things were left unanswered.

Another example of is creation. The bible deals with earths creation briefly and spends the majority of its time dealing with the age man. Many have argued the existence of the theory of Evolution vs Creation. It is a matter of fact the earth is millions of years old. However, the bible deals with God's creation of man, his fall, and his redemption. Its kind of like God has only told us enough that He wants us to know. Why? If he told us more would we believe it anyway?

The bible speaks of God parading his redeemed before his entire creation when eternity comes. What does this mean? Does this mean that God has created other races of beings on other planets or solar systems? The bible does not go into detail about what this actually means.

Many will discount that the bible, though one of the greatest pieces of literature written, was only written by man. What the bible does tell us that the bible was written by 40 authors over a span of many years. The bible, though many have argued that it is flawed or incomplete, has kept the same theme throughout. As I said earlier God seems to give us just enough that has to do with us and the rest he does not tell us.

So why does God not tell us these things? One reason is we would not believe it anyway. Many now do not believe that Jesus was the Christ. That God was manifest in flesh, was tempted, suffered, and died so that man could be redeemed. The real problem is they don't have a problem believing Jesus lived and that he died. The problem they have is that He was God and rose again just as He said he would. God Knows man all too well that we have problems believing what has already taken place. If God appeared to some of us we still would not believe it. So why should he tell us mysteries that we would not believe or understand.

God did not tell us things simply cause he wanted us to have faith. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen" Though we do not not see it we believe. We can't see electricity or the air. But we have no problems taking a breath because we know the air is there. If we did not believe we would not breathe and pass out for lack of oxygen. How stupid would that be not to breathe just because we could not see the air. If you didn't believe in electricity than you could stick your finger in a light socket but you would get a shocking realization that electricity does exist.

Faith is knowing. Faith is believing in what you know as being true regardless what anyone else says or does. This is why God withholds some things from us. If we have trouble believing the simple things how will we believe in the something complex. God could show us all the wonders of the universe if He so chose to do so. He doesn't cause He knows that some us cannot believe what He already has said as being true.

If you can't believe what God says now how will you ever believe in Eternity?

Many people believe that the Bible contains the words of God, all of the words of God, and nothing but the words of God. The Bible twice negates that belief. The first place is Matthew 13:33 which reads, "Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened." The second place is Luke 13:21 which reads, "It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened." This situation causes the question: in addition to the warning about the leaven, the alterations, was a way provided to remove the alterations? Yes. The way is thrice mentioned. The summary of the three mentions reads, "In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." Once the words of God are established, then they can be understood. Once they are understood, then answers are found to all of the relevant questions. Answers are not found to the moot ones

Or, maybe it's about a following a mythology and convincing yourself it's true, regardless of evidence to the contrary...
