Did you just hear that RPattz or Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame, just cut his hair? When I went to Google for information, I discovered that it wasn't just me that can't spell Robert Pattinson's name but that on an average month there were close to 50,000 searches with the spelling of Robert Pattinson's name confused with Robert Pattison and Robert Patterson. These same misspellers are probably going to be looking up why Robert Pattison cut his hair. If search numbers are similar then another 15,000 will be wondering about why Robert Patterson cut his hair. Or for that matter will these same misspellers look up Robert Patinson cuting his hair? Which is kind of apropos depending on how you feel about Patinson's new do.

Robert Pattinson's trademark tresses have been described lovingly as messy, tousled, foppish, adorable, and an uncontrollable mess so why did RPattz cut his hair? Robert Pattinson's simple explanation - says he just felt like a haircut. Pattinson had grown tired of his hair always in his face. Is it a grand publicity stunt? Perhaps. More likely, it's just a case of Pattinson not being able to stand it anymore, hair be damned, paparazzi and screaming fans leave me alone. But will each snip of Robert Pattinson's haircut cost him his career? Or is less, really more. Will Robert Pattinson's haircut catapult RPattz into even bigger and better roles? Pattinson has a movie coming out, Dali, but the haircut is still relatively longer than the RPattz short haircut.

Handsome or Horrid?

Robert Pattinson's new haircut definitely makes him look less Edward Scissorhands and definitely less vampirish. Johnny Depp has made a career out of his rogue hair and at its longest, his hair has made him a pirate's ransom. Has Robert Pattinson shorn his future movie career? Nah. Will Robert Pattinson get in trouble with the studios? Probably not. Although Pattinson goes into production for New Moon, in March 2009, there's always hair extensions if needed plus RPattz is still young and hair grows fast. Regardless long, short, shaved Robert Pattinson in any haircut is still our RPattz. So we really don't care about Robert Patterson's haircut or if Robert Pattison cuts his hair as long as Robert Pattinson graces us again on the screen as a haircut by any other name is still as sweet.
