Why I Dislike Tony Romo

Kate Schum
Tony Romo has been the bane of my sports fan existence for a few years now. For a while people genuinely thought that Romo's bad streak was due to his dating ditzy pop star Jessica Simpson but failed to realize that he sucks at playing football! He is clumsy, unprofessional, and while he has his moments--as any should be water boy does--he simply has no true talent or staying power.

With such fantastic professionalism it is no wonder Romo is one of the most hated football players outside of Michael Vick and potentially OJ Simpson. This whiny little baby can't take a fumble or slip like a man without complaining about it for what seems like forever! Not only that but he has been known to be the only one to flub up on carrying a ball that other players had absolutely no problem with and still insisted that it had to have been someone's' fault other than himself. Either that or the ball's fault.

What a cry baby! NFL football should be played by real men that don't cry to mommy when they mess up in a game. He is supposed to be a professional but instead he is the same recruit he ever was. Isn't there a point where a player grows into their position? Isn't there a point where they finally "get" what they are supposed to do and how to be an actual man? How has this eluded him!

Romo chokes hard on plays and he has a job that he should be experienced enough in to make it simple. All he has to do is find a way to position his teammates to win a game in most cases and he can't seem to do that for the life of him. Finally, the last thing that really gets under my skin as a football fan is the fact that he is idolized over wins that he hardly had much to do with! He is a less than par player in comparison to practically the whole entire NFL retired or playing! A handsome face and celebrity girlfriends shouldn't make people feel he epitomizes a football hero!
