We are fascinated by the lynch mentality. We love to destroy what we can not have. When we envy too much we seek to destroy that with which we wish we could have or do or be. Britney Spears puts on weight, the world loves to poke fun. We get extraordinarily happy that she has to be average just like us. She already is average. She never was anything but average. Britney loses rights over her children, the world eats it up as if her ex husband will provide a great environment for the kids. Britney Spears obviously has had some mental difficulties as of lately. She has shaved her hair, went to counseling for a myriad of problems, etc. Who wouldn't have difficulty with hundred of millions of dollars, no restraint, the public mocks you, the courts take away your children, the media hound your every move looking to embarrass you with the next big break out photo. This is not a normal life. This poor sad young woman is living a distorted reality and is having great difficulty making rational decisions.
And we love it. The media provides all the vultures with the fresh kill and the world circles around and feasts on the kill. It might sound bizarre, but I am truly concerned for this person. She is human. Where is our common decency of caring for another human being? Is it really necessary for her to commit suicide for us to get our fill? Britney Spears needs to take herself out of the lime light for a few years, get back to some every day perspective, surround herself with people who tell her the truth, she is just an average person that got to be part of some amazing experiences.
Is it possible for us to leave Britney Spears alone. How much suffering does one person have to do before they are allowed to have some peace. Must we have death to enjoy the show? Anna Nicole is a perfect example of an average life gone horribly Hollywood.

I get your point, but the title sounds a bit harsh. You need a tabloid headline, like "Brittany Spears May Be Next Celebrity Suicide Victim." A very compassionate piece, though. I don't understand why people are so obsessed with celebrities' personal lives. Maybe they are living vicariously through them because their own lives are so dreary.
