Why Dunkin Donuts is Better than Other Coffee Chains

With all of the specialty coffee shops springing up these days, everyone has an opinion as to which one is the best. But before you head out to that newer, more expensive coffee chain, think about going to Dunkin Donuts.

Here are ten reasons why Dunkin Donuts is better than any other coffee chain

Reason #1- The Coffee

In my opinion, Dunkin Donuts has the best coffee anywhere. It is smooth, but not too strong, and you can order it any way you like. I enjoy the iced coffee because at Dunkin Donuts it's actually meant to be iced--it's not just hot coffee poured over ice the way it is done at other chains. Dunkin Donuts sells their coffee by the pound or the cup, and they even offer the box of Joe which is the equivalent of ten cups of coffee in a box that keeps the coffee hot. Don't forget that you can add specialty syrups to your coffee for free and that Dunkin Donuts also serves cappuccinos, lattes, and espresso!

Reason #2- The Donuts

Of course, there are the delicious donuts at Dunkin Donuts. Most of the other popular coffee chains do not offer a huge selection of donuts, but at Dunkin Donuts, the donuts come in too many flavors to name. My personal favorites are the Blueberry Cake, the Boston Krème Donut, and the Chocolate Glazed Cake Donut. You can order donuts individually and by the dozen.

Reason #3- The Bagels

Dunkin Donuts also features absolutely scrumptious bagels. On any given day, there are at least 10 varieties of bagels to choose from including onion, wheat, and low-carb. Most other coffee chains only offer patrons a few varieties of bagels to choose from. Dunkin Donuts also offers customers several flavors of cream cheese including chive and garden vegetable.

Reason #4- The Breakfast Sandwiches

Dunkin Donuts is known for its breakfast sandwiches that are served on bagels or croissants with eggs, cheese, and your choice of meat. Dunkin Donuts is one of the few coffee chains that serve this type of fare.

Reason #5- The Cooladas

Other chains may have their own version of frozen coffee drinks, but I still love the Coffee Coolada. They come in several flavors and can be made fat free by asking for skim milk in them and no whipped cream. A 16 ounce Coolada has no fat and only 170 calories!

Reason #6- The Cookies

Other chains do serve cookies, but Dunkin Donuts has the best cookies in my opinion. The chocolate chunk is my favorite. The cookies are always fresh and delicious.

Reason # 7- The Muffins

Again, other chains usually carry muffins, but Dunkin Donuts offers customers the freshest and most original flavors of muffins. I love the banana nut muffins and the pumpkin muffins that Dunkin Donuts makes during the holidays.

Reason #8- The Munchkins

The munchkins are probably the best invention ever because you can eat a donut, but it's a miniature sized donut. I usually order two of them with my coffee because I don't have the willpower to order more and save them for later. They come in several flavors.

Reason #9- The Baskin Robbins Ice Cream

Many Dunkin Donuts restaurants now feature Baskin Robbins Ice Cream. How many other coffee chains can you go to where the non coffee drinkers in your party (husband, kids) will also be satisfied? Not many. The idea of coffee and ice cream is an original one.

Reason #10- The Prices

If all of the other reasons don't convince you, how about saving a few bucks? If you compare the prices of coffee at Dunkin Donuts to the prices at other coffee chains, you will find that Dunkin Donuts is lower. Not only will Dunkin Donuts offer you more choices than the competition, it will save you money. What's better than that?
