Firstly, it can be observed that only the educated have goals to achieve in life, illiterates are always idle or having bad things in mind, as it is often said "an idle man is the devil's workshop", these illiterates think negatively as there is virtually no good legal job they can do to earn a living. These illiterates may end up as touts, thieves etc, these makes them have negative qualities inherent in their family, thereby making life miserable for their society. An educated person will know what he or she wants to become probably a teacher, a doctor, an engineer, an hairdresser, a fashion designer etc, and will work towards this future ambition to attain success.
Moreover, looking at the area of the country, if there is no education there is no way a country will be developed, production of food, oil sectors and others like that are all products of education, both the formally and informally educated work hand in hand to ensure the success of the country. This means that a whole country can even die of starvation and remain underdeveloped, thereby becoming a failure if not for education if there are no educated ones. Therefore the success of a whole country is based on education.
In the world today, many things have been made, more facilities, machines and systems are being developed to make life easier and convenient for living. For instance, transportation has made life convenient because of education, without education, the vehicles which are used for transportation will not be produced. If there were no vehicles, we will have to trek to our various destinations no matter how far they are which is not good for the health. In the area of medicine, if someone is sick, and the place for treatment is far away, without transportation, such a person may die before getting there. People with various health problems such as hypertension, overweight etc, would just die because they don't know the way it can be controlled, and this leads to an increase in mortality until when all of them are no more. As it is often said "Health is wealth", without good health for individuals, there is no way they will be able to achieve their goals. But because of the role education has played, good health is maintained and life is preserved, because of this reason, individuals are able to achieve their primary aims and objectives. Education brings about good health and it is only in good health that success can be attained.
No one is born useless, everybody has something good to achieve in life but this cannot come to pass if we don't work towards it. Whiling away your time while your mates are acquiring formal or informal education is like digging an early grave for yourself. Without education, communication would be very difficult, if an illiterate happens to live amongst the educated ones and cannot communicate with them, there is no way he or she is able to succeed, it is just like an insect in the midst of lions. The uneducated will not feel well and will not like living in that environment. The uneducated may be entitled to some funds, these funds may be impossible to collect because he or she will not understand the procedures used to get them. The uneducated just looses many things and just ends up a failure in life unlike the educated.
Moreover, the way we think is influenced by education, education gives way for peace and harmony. For instance, in the developed world, we will find out that there is hardly any case of citizens fighting themselves, unlike an underdeveloped area where there is always war, innocent souls are lost in the process, some are badly injured. Probably the cause of this war was tribalism, religious differences. Fighting and killing will not solve any problem but it will only compound problems, at times, different tribes fight against themselves, some couples kill their marriage partners if they are not from the same tribe and there is no smell of peace in such places, as they think of hatred and other bad things most of the time. Success cannot be achieved in this manner. The educated are taught to be peaceful, hardly do we find any educated person involved in such stupid acts that the illiterates take as their tradition or whatever. When there is peace, other countries can come for business transactions involving importing and exporting, they renovate the roads, buildings, create job opportunities and all is well, therefore, success is greatly achieved.
Furthermore, in the industries, banks , companies etc, they have their vision and their mission, probably to be the best in the country, among the top ten in the world, building and preserving wealth. Oil companies deal with chemicals especially petrol, the petrol is gotten from underground. The various components of the chemicals are separated by fractional distillation , some higher chemicals are cracked to petrol and other jobs require those who are trained for it, so there is virtually nothing, the illiterates can do there.
Education is therefore, the key to success, it pays to be educated, any educated person is not useless in life as he or she has what to offer.
