Why Educational Visa Holders and Job Visa Holders Should Not Be Given a Backdoor Entry to Immigration
That is Making a Mockery of the Time-Consuming Immigrant Visa Procedures and an Injustice to True Immigrants from the Very Same Countries
1.The historic reason was that they had suffered under the arbitrary laws of despots in their homelands. So they wanted a total cut-off from monarchical ways.
2.The demographic reason was that by allowing the good aspects of foreign cultures to get assimilated into our culture we were building a new cultural edifice the world had not seen until then.
Yes, every nation and race has something good in them.
And by allowing family immigration in a controlled fashion from every nation, the later generations of the first generation immigrants were already aware of the limitations of USA and could adjust better. Immigrant visa applicants are already aware that USA is not a land of milk and honey but of hard work.
And their long waiting periods gave them more than enough opportunity to study how their relatives adjusted to the American culture. So we had better-prepared immigrants entering this country, well-monitored, from all the countries of the world, not upstarts.
But somewhere down the history lane those noble ideals got twisted and short-changed to suit some people, some universities and some corporations.
And now, immigrant visa applicants standing patiently in lines for years watch helplessly, as some youngsters are being purposely allowed to jump the lines, come straight to USA with no hassles, steal American jobs and then royally being granted American citizenship for a song.
Yeah, all this when immigrant visa applicants from the very same nations were standing for months and months and months patiently, presenting documents after documents for verification purposes.
And where have we landed by the over-smartness of some greedy people among us?
Instead of mature people bringing in good cultural aspects of their homelands we see youngsters bringing in bad and criminal aspects from those lands, assimilating it with the bad and criminal aspects already on our land.
Thus the American culture instead of becoming an amalgam of the best from the rest of the world became a cesspool of all the worst elsewhere.
Why all this happened?
Yes, our country had already a honorable system for controlled immigration where older family members who became first-generation immigrants took responsibility for whoever they brought in and thus the new arrivals were not a headache to US and her taxpayers.
Also, age restrictions on children above 21, wisely assured that the route dried up at a later stage for a particular family except for a marital visa. And marital visas too would have dried up once a community had enough members here.
But universities and corporates tasted blood in the Y2K melee and one of the worst cases of human trafficking started under that cover. Political donations assured that this self-destructing malady will not be cured.
Let us, be honest about this:
1. An educational visa is an educational visa, not an immigrant visa.
2. A job visa is a job visa, not an immigrant visa.
If an American education is not fit for his home country, why should anybody be applying for an American course?
If Y2k was to happen, why did not our universities start courses in advance for the youth here?
If profits are the only motives, why not unpatriotic CEOs get out of this country, so that Americans can start a new life without their greed?
And why all this abuse of our rules when there is already separate category called immigrant visa with applicants in those countries waiting for months?
Why should job visa holders and educational visa holders be given any backdoor entry when such ones will buy bombs, propane, gasoline, fertilizers, clocks in gratitude for granting citizenship of this country through the backdoor?
There is no room for discrimination complaints as people from the same nations are standing dutifully in lines for months to be law-abiding citizens of this country. Such people are already living among us as our neighbors.
YES, America is a land of immigrants - of TRUE immigrants, BUT not of fake immigrants, gate-crashers and fence-jumpers.
High time our government restored the old strict rules of immigration that were thrown to the winds in the last two decades and restrict education and jobs to the citizens of this land.
Because we are already allowing immigrants from all those lands too who should be getting the benefits of that, not their opportunistic counterparts.
No need to bring in people under the guise of education and jobs for out of turn citizenship because we have to give education and jobs to true immigrants from those lands too, who come here obeying stricter laws.
No nationality need be shown exception. No favorites, please.
All back-door entries from all nations should be stopped.
If we show opportunistic and partial hypocrisy in such matters, there won't be any solutions. Sorry, the law cannot show favor to anybody's cousin or friend while kicking out others.
Such self-serving demand by some people to hide their people while pointing fingers at others is the main reason government cannot do anything as any show of partiality to any one particular group would have the courts striking down such discriminating laws.
So let us be right about this: No backdoor entries to anybody even if it is "MY COUSIN OR MY RACE."
