Sunlight
With all complexions, exposure to high levels of intense sunlight is extremely damaging to skin and may lead to sunburn and even skin cancer, the risk increases the lighter your skin color is. Mild exposure to sunlight in your home environment is beneficial due to the fact that the body needs sunlight to manufacture vitamin D which is useful for bone health. Hence sunscreen should be used to protect the delicate skin of your face from looking old.
Poor Diets
With the current increase in the consumption of low-fat foods many people nowadays are unaware that we may really be depriving our body of some of the fats that it really needs for basic metabolic processes. Saturated fats are not good for general health when consumed in large amounts but unsaturated fats like those in olive oil is not only beneficial to your overall health but will improve the texture and feel of both skin and hair. Therefore consuming large amounts of (good) unsaturated fats and small amounts of saturated fats to help you keep your face from looking old. Processed foods such as candy cookies are high in salt and sugar and unlikely to have much nutritional value for the skin and showed us so it should be avoided. Fresh fruits and vegetables are vital to good healthy skin and status so it should be consumed as much as possible.
Poor Muscle Tone
When food is not chewed properly, slack face muscles occur and are more common than you might think. chewing not only releases more saliva and helps improve digestion but also exercises the cheek muscles, this can be improved by including plenty of raw fruit and vegetables in our diets to make sure that enough chewing takes place to properly exercise or cheek muscles. This muscle toning prevents your face from looking old.
Stress and Lack of Sleep
During sleep many things happen which help your skin from looking old: toxins are removed and nutrients supplied to the skin through freshly created blood. Anything causing a lack of sleep or sleeplessness such as emotional stress can interfere with sleep patterns and hence create a tired or dull looking complexion, making your face look old.
By changing your behavior as indicated above, you too can help reverse the aging process and prevent your face from looking older than it needs to be.
