Lately I don't care about what any of my friends are talking about on Facebook. Because none of them are talking about anything worth listening to.
Facebook hasn't moved on much from "this is what I had to eat today".
I get quotes of wisdom, riddles, prophesies, parables, no actual conversation.
When there is conversation, it is about the lockout, or Internet censorship, or how ghetto someone else is.
You see that a lot on Facebook.
It's like, take that conversation to Twitter, where you can actually get popular talking about people and how ghetto they are. No one wants to hear that on Facebook.
Well at least I don't anyway.
If I wanted to see or hear about something ghetto, I would go to World Star Hip-Hop, Black Planet, or even Media Take Out.
Is anyone doing anything interesting with their life? Or is everyone talking a really good game, to make it look like their life is interesting? I am not saying that I am the most interesting person out there, far from it, but these days I would rather watch a vlog on YouTube; at least the conversations there between the vlogger and the viewer is more engaging than what you find on Facebook.
Why am I on Facebook again?
There aren't any top trends, just top news. You cannot find out about what is going on there because people do not want to talk about what is going on, just the minutiae of their own life. It is like people want to be existential on Facebook or something.
Maybe I need to get some new friends; no, maybe I need to log off and go back to talking to people in real life.
