The first reason we will cover is the testing of bottled water, which is not safe at all. In most cities and states tap water is tested daily but only year testing of bottled water is required. Bottled water is not tested by labs or any such measure, but tap water is. This can lead too many harmful bacteria and germs too invade your bottle of water which is very harmful. Also, bottled water has been known to contain lead which is a very bad element that should never be digested.
The next topic we will cover is where bottled water comes from. Most bottled water is actually tap water, which has just undergone some tests. Some of the words on the bottle are just a marketing scheme and really has no significance at all. Most of the water bottles usually say from fresh springs, but in reality it's from different city river and lakes around the world.
The next topic is the problem with plastic bottles. Most of the plastic bottles are not safe at all like most of you may believe. The first bad form of plastic is known as, polyvinyl chloride (pvc). This form of plastic distributes pollutants that disrupt the hormonal balance in our bodies, causing fertility, cell, organ, and tissue damage. The next bad form of plastic is known as, bisphenol A. It can change the course of fetal development, abnormal chromosomes, miscarriages, Down syndrome, and obesity. Another form of plastic being bad is if it has been left in the sun for too long. If the plastic is in the heat for numerous hours many chemicals are melted into the water which can be very harmful to us. Plastic bottles if drunk should not be left in the heat or consumed if they were in the heat for a long time.
The final topic is why glass should be used and a special form of plastic as well. If you must consume bottled water please use glass, no chemicals can be spread to the water from glass so it is very safe and good for you. Glass has no bacteria or any harmful toxins, if you must use plastic use a special kind which costs more but is very safe. This safe plastic is called, bio-based plastic, which is made from natural products that are safe for our bodies. Another, safe plastic bottled water is Penta water this water is extremely pure even though it's in a plastic bottle.
In conclusion, if you must use bottled water please use a glass container, bio-based plastic, or Penta water. Please make sure you keep your water cool in the refrigerator at all times, never leave your water in the heat. So remember these reasons next time you're at the store purchasing water it could help you live a healthier life. I mean ask your self does this pretty bottle with the nice labels really make it good for me to drink, is the water really pure, is this plastic bottle better then the glass, because your life depends on it.
