Each week it is the same thing. The bride to be loses her temper because something is not up to par, a family member is late, or her dress won't fit. The limo is late, the flowers don't show up or the Groom decides it would be better to have a hangover at the wedding than to not.
The food was served cold, the photographer was lost, or the make up artist did the make up wrong. My favorites have to be the ones where the women weigh little to nothing but swears they are fat and then basically tries to kill themselves while over exerting their body to abnormal lengths just so they can look perfect. I guess the funny thing to me would be that in my eyes, the women were perfectly fine from the start!
I have seen the woman who swore she saw stains on a dress that were virtually nonexistent who decided at the last minute to toss it into a tub and wash it by herself. Why you ask? Well apparently she really was leery about sending her dress to a professional to get cleaned.
Imagine that! I have also seen pretty much every single one of the women declare that they are princesses or queens and that everyone around them must submit to them and accept the punishments these over the top women seem to feel necessary to inflict on everyone who them come across.
One thing I could not get over however were the women who took it upon themselves to be disrespectful to their parents. I know the day is stressful, but to curse at your mother or declare your father needs to pay for everything because it is his job, they should have been ashamed of themselves. I can't believe that anyone would have wronged them that bad to be treated in such a manner.
What seems to me as a day planned when most women would want to just enjoy themselves, these women have lived up to most opinions that women simply cannot be satisfied for any reason. They cry and sulk at the littlest of things and swear the whole world is out to ruin their lives. But are they for real? Are the hissy fits, name calling, cat fights, bickering and complaining how all women act during the final weeks leading up to the wedding? I would have to say no. Real women do not act like that.
Yes, we do want the wedding day to go perfect, but I truly believe that the cameras being around the women really influenced their behavior. I cannot bring myself to believe that people can be so self-centered, so egotistical, so manipulative just because they want to act like a spoiled pre-Madonna who would rather the day as a whole be cancelled because of something like they didn't get a notice in the mail saying they passed a test. I mean come on now- would you really leave your husband to be at the altar until you passed the test? What if you never passed?
I have to admit however, that even though the show can make even the biggest of men cringe in their shoes, I really cannot miss an episode. I love the fighting, I love the crying, and I love the drama and cannot get enough. The theme song comes on and both my three year old and myself break out to singing the jingle in its entirety.
I have yet to miss a show, and don't plan on it any day soon. I am a Bridezilla groupie and proud of it. Because no matter what anyone says, this show has taught me what NOT to do while planning my wedding. It has shown me what a real woman is NOT to act like.
So there you have it folks- Love it or hate it, you cant get enough of those loud talking, plate throwing, door slamming, Vendor stalking, BRIDEZILLA'S!
