Management is very unresponsive to customers needs. I have even heard employees complain about the management. Other walmarts in the region are very consumer friendly and will help you sometimes even when you don't ask for the help.
I go to other walmarts and they always have an electric cart for the handicapped to use. I can also find more products at these other walmarts. Ever since Sam Walton died the walmart stores as a whole have gone done hill in a bad kind of way.
I have been in many states and in many walmart stores. And of all of them Silsbee, Texas Walmart is the worst. I just don't understand why this has to be. The building is fairly new and spacious. It is a Super Walmart and one would think it would have many products available to the consumer. Yet when a product becomes popular and in great demand from the customers, Walmart removes it from their shelves.
I remember I used to order popcorn shrimp from their deli section. Suddenly Silsbee Walmart no longer had this commodity available. I asked them if they were going to get more in. I was told no, because they lost the number for ordering them. Never in my life have I heard such a ridiculous excuse.
In small stores I expect a limitation of things but in a super store I expect more available products. Silsbee Walmart is full of useless junk that no one wants.
I know the question is being thought, if you hate this walmart so much, then why do you keep going back to it? Why not go to another walmart?
Simple, Geographical location. My family is not well off so we cannot afford to travel great distances to go to a better store. Since this is the closest walmart to us, and there is no other stores around like it, we have no choice but to go there. I would prefer to go to Jasper Texas Walmart or maybe even Orange Texas Walmart, but they are simply to far away. I believe that management in the Silsbee Texas, Walmart knows this about their customers so they just don't care.

Post a CommentI used to work there for about a year, I agree fully with all you say. Management was horrible save a few, but really treated the employees as if we were slaves. And the would always act like you were bothering them if you had a question, or if a customer needed them. I have a bum knee from an auto accident a few years back and standing for great lengths would put me in extreme pain...I got disciplined more than once for taking a breather when it wasn't my "designated break time." So then I would ask to take my 15 (you have to take 2 per shift) and they would blatantly say no and to wait until later...I even got in trouble for helping a customer in another dept. because there was no associate working it at the moment because I was neglecting my job responsibilities...even though everything in my dept. was stocked, clean, and nobody needed any help...bottom line, management at Silsbee Walmart is horrible...
I either go to Silsbee or Lumberton, my mother being disabled has trouble finding an electric scooter or wheelchair at ANY walmart we go to. Don't go to Liberty Walmart it's truly the worst lol
**Dollar General might seem like a good deal but most times the product size is smaller so not really getting a better deal!
I hate all Walmarts now. I used to regularly shop at Walmart, but their low prices are no longer low. They're ridiculously high. Do they think people are stupid and won't notice? A 24 pack of Angel Soft TP that sold for five something two years ago is now up to more than six dollars. I hope people everywhere start shopping elsewhere. Even though fuel prices are lower than they were at one point, the prices never went back down. It's all about greed. Aldi's and Dollar General are the places to go if you really want to save money.
