Why Having Small Breasts is a Good Thing

Marie Gerber
Hey ladies. As a woman living under the influence of Western culture, I am sick of the emphasis that is put on a woman's cup size. Why in American does bigger always have to mean better! You can't deny that women are treated as sex objects in our society, and breasts seem to be the main topic of discussion. Having small breasts can affect your self-esteem when the media is telling you that you must be at least a C cup in order to be attractive. Even insanely gorgeous actresses and other celebs are giving in to the pressure and going under the knife. Sadly for them, size isn't only a matter of self-esteem, but a matter of getting work and making it in such a competitive industry.

For those of you who have small breasts and sometimes get down about it, here are some reasons that having small breasts rock!

-First, remember the reason that women have breasts: to nourish another human being! Come on girls, we have the gift of the ability to make another life. If you think about what their intended purpose is, all breasts are pretty awesome.

-No bras! We can get away with, when other women can't even walk around the house without one on. And we can wear adorable little tops that large-chested women could never get away with. Not only that, but we don't need to double up on the sports bras when going to the gym.

-Less noticable sagging. As we grow older, things start to migrate south. While all breasts will eventually sag, it is less noticable if they aren't so big that they're down around your waist.

-Plastic surgery is painful and expensive, not to mention dangerous! A good percentage of the women you see on TV and in the movies were not born looking that way. Many, many actresses, singers, and other celebrity women have had breast enhancement surgeries. Some of them have even had several! It's so common, in fact, that a lot of actresses are pretty vocal about their surgeries - they aren't ashamed anymore because they know how many other women are doing it. Also, breast implants can be harmful to your health (is it really worth it?) and can also harden or cause little ripples to form (take a look at Anna Nicole Smith if you don't know what I mean).

-No back pain. Some women with very large chests experience a great deal of back pain because of all the extra weight their back is trying to support. Also, women with very large breasts can suffer significant discomfort from their bra straps digging into their shoulders and back.

-Cute bras. I can get away with wearing cute little lacy bras and adorable shirts with built in bras, while many of my large-chested friends have to wear those big, grandma-ish things in order to have the proper support.

So, you see, having small breasts can really be a good thing. Embrace them and wear them proudly! I know its difficult in a society where cup size is so important, but love yourself and know that you're fabulous just the way you are!
Some guys actually prefer small breasts - they're hard to come by - but they are out there! And some guys, no matter how much they claim they love you, would hand over their wallet if you said you were thinking about getting a boob job. Still, other guys, sometimes complete strangers, will make cracks about your breasts, or lack there of. Remember, all that matters is how YOU feel about yourself. As long as women are seen as sex objects, there will always be men out there with that attitude. Forget them. If a guy really likes you, he will look past your small chest and adore every inch of you. I would rather have men approach me that are seriously interested in me and what I have to say, not just because they were mezmerized by my cleavage.

Inspiration: There are a few celebrity women with small chests that have not given it to the pressure to go bigger: Two that I can think of off the top of my head are Will & Grace star Debra Messing and succesful movie start Kate Hudson. Kate is drop-dead gorgeous and continues to get movie roles despite her small breasts. I don't think any guy on earth (or many women) would turn her down!

Natalie Portman, Gwenyth Paltrow, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Kristin Stewart, Keira Knightley, Alicia Keys, Evangeline Lily, and Jennifer Garner are all very famous examples of women with small breasts! And even if one dislikes some of the ladies on this list, I doubt anyone could say all these ladies are unattractive, and any one of these ladies could get almost any guy they wanted! :]

oops...let me just finish my thought ...because clothes just look better with something to fill them out!! At 47 years old, I'm just sick of passing by soooo many cute clothes and bras because they don't fit right or they just don't look quite right...it has nothing to do with self-esteem at this point and my hubby could care less because, of course, he claims to be an arss-man...ya right!!! Wish I could afford Kate's doctor...a good doc would make it a breeze for me to take the PLUNGE...get it!!! :)

Interesting reading...it all comes down to the fact that us girls with very little on top have very few examples of anything positive about having little breasts...as the article 'Having Small Breasts is a Good Thing' proves... really...are the beauty of breastfeeding, not needing a bra and not sagging when we're 60 great compelling reasons to jump up and down...oh ya and we don't bounce... yeah!!!! Please...not wearing a bra is not that attractive with a flat chest...I used to admire Kate Hudson for doin' her thing...but now she's not my positive role model anymore...she got boobs... and they look pretty good...that's all I would want is a little boost, not C cup monster, fake looking things! I just want to know what it feels like not to look like a 10 year old boy in a cute strappy top...and to fit in a stinkin' bra without all the hot padding...and if I go from an A to a full B I don't think I'll sag to my knees...I'm about ready to take my chances 'cause clothes just look better w

but having small breasts for me is a direct link to chronic low self-esteem. Men have always made comments about my small boobs and I subsequently feel disgusted by myself. I understand that I should be grateful about many things-- including the fact that the rest of my body is pretty good. Nevertheless though, small breasts seems to always over-ride everything, perhaps due to the emphasis society has placed on them.

I am a 50 year old man and all of the women I have dated, but one, were small breasted. I absolutely love small breasts as do many other men out here. While I believe that a woman should decide for herself whether or not augmentation is the right thing for her, I would like to pass on that there are guys out here that will love you for you, no matter what your size. Be happy with yourself and that will reflect in your outlook on life and will serve to attract the right kind of guy to you.

i am a 34A and i love it and so does every other guy i've asked so dont let the media make u think having big boobs is sexy or better because in reality most men dont really care about size. unless there imature or are infatuated with big breast

DRAGONSLA Hi. My name is India and I'm a B cup on one side with one being an A cup Yeah it's noticeble.lol But I'm slim atheletic built weighing 113 lbs.But you are telling the truth. Besides that your making loigical since. No great intelligent female that has alot to offer whouldn't want a no good guy.I know I don't. Females she be glad to know what a guy is truely about from the get go. And having size A or B breast 90% of the time insures that. Not all the time but the majority. I'm saying it's easier to weed the good guys out from the imature guys only about just looks when it comes to breasts size. But good point.

SONIA HI %3A-%29 I%27m loving this website I must mention.MY first messege was for you.I%27m inspired by reading your messege about not letting other people influence you even if there your blood family you followed your true feelings and used your brain. I%27m a guess but will probably join. I may sound dumb say n this but I%27m suppose to be saving up for a breasts reduction because I%27ve truly always wanted it for myself since I was 14 years old cause I have scoliosis which is painful at times. And for the record I love being small%2Fmedium and have great self-esteem cause I%27m attractive but my point is I only want to even them out with a reduction cause my right is a 32A and my left is a 34 or 32 B.It%27s quite noticeable unless I%27m wearing dark colors. And mind you all I%27m already petite weighing exactly 113 lbs standing 5%2C5%22.

Hi. I'm a 32B on one boob and a 32A on the other. It's to obvious lol. But That's great how God spoke to you or your true inner feelings and showed you that loving yourself the way you are and having confidence is much better than putting a foreign object in your body that will cause problems in the future.
