Heading into the next round of primaries and on into the Convention in June, Hillary would have to basically overturn the will of the voters and persuade the superdelegates to give her the nomination over Barack Obama. This is not going to happen. There will be those who will be persuaded by what she and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, have to say, but the majority would not dare risk their political careers by going against their base. Those superdelegates that have already switched (John Lewis, David Scott, etc.) know where their bread is buttered. They understand that they have their own political goals to meet and cannot do it without the people.
Hillary will be 69 years old in 2016. That would be the first time she could probably launch a successful campaign for the Democratic nomination if Barack wins the nomination and the presidency. She knows that her chances of obtaining the White House at 69 years of age will prove very difficult. Just look at the flack that John McCain has received so far. If she sabotages Barack now, she can run in 2012 as the clean-up woman.
Hillary has used every trick in the Karl Rove book of politics. Her unwarranted personal attacks on Barack were carried out to help the Republican Party. Yes, I said it. If McCain should win the election in November, you can rest assured that the country will have signed itself up for four more years of George Bush's policies. Those people who are foolish enough to think McCain is different from Bush will certainly be ready to vote for anyone but a Republican by 2012. By giving McCain and the Republican National Committee the ammunition to use against Barack now, she is hoping that he loses. A loss for him would spell victory for her in 2012.
In all the years that I have been of age to vote, I have never voted. It is only until this election that I felt the need to do so. My children's future is at stake. My brother who is serving in the Army's life is at stake. My own life is at stake. If Hillary continues the dirty politics that she has employed so far and Barack loses, I can promise you that she will not get my vote in 2012 or any other year she attempts to steal the election.
