Simply locking one's door is no longer a way of securing one's possessions and safety. Home invaders have no problem using a tool on the lock or simply breaking in a door or window. Unlike yesteryear when this did not happen, today it is virtually an everyday occurrence as is evident in newspaper and television reports.
Having a monitored alarm system is an excellent way to feel at ease regarding not only one's home but one's personal safety. With a monitored system, should the alarm go off, it is immediately relayed to a twenty four hour a day relay station. A monitoring employee will come on line, determine the problem and call the police, fire department, medics or whoever is required. This gives a complete sense of security to the homeowner or persons occupying the house.
Alarm system companies are very thorough on training personnel to install these units. When a technician arrives at the home they will present proper identification and install the system with speed and efficiency. When they prepare to leave, after explaining and testing the system, all that will be evident of the alarm is a digital keyboard.
Having a keychain remote control unit is an excellent feature to use when leaving or returning to the home. Using this device, it is not necessary to go to the digital keyboard to set or turn off the alarm. This keychain remote works within a short distance of the house. It is possible to turn off the alarm after getting out of one's car, in the driveway, for example. This makes it very easy to disarm the alarm when entering.
Letting it be known, to all, via a yard sign and decals, is an added feature of this system. It announces to the world, and that includes burglars, that the home is under twenty-four hour guard. This is a great deterrent as word has traveled fast that these alarms are ready to respond instantly should an invasion occur.
In addition to the other alarms it is possible to have a health monitoring feature in the system. This feature allows one to push a button, carried on the person, should an accident occur in which assistance is needed. This feature is excellent for people who live alone and have an accident. Pushing a button on the digital keyboard is not necessary as the monitor can hear a person's voice and will respond with the appropriate action.
A motion detector, in place when one is away from the house, is an excellent feature of the monitoring system. Should an intruder enter the building their movement would set off the alarm. This facet is not affected by the movement of one's pets and gives an extra peace of mind for the homeowner. This extra feature, alone, is worth the price of a Home Alarm System.
