Why Homemaking is Cool

Rita Jan
In today's society, a woman is respected when she has a high-powered career, and a Master's degree. It is not always considered an "achievement" to be a homemaker. However, there are many reasons why being a homemaker is awesome. Here are a few of them:

Sex in the morning. When both parties don't have to get up early and get a head start on the day, time and energy can be made to start the day off right. A good roll in the hay is an excellent way to build up stamina, get your early morning work out, and bond more closely with your husband.

Exert your womanly powers. When you're not trying to beat a man in the job field, it is easier to build and exert your womanly influence. Decorating your home, building socialization skills in your children, bonding with the neighbors over a cup of tea, becoming a better cook, and dressing as evocatively as you choose are all nice things to enjoy while away from the corporate office. Don't forget to work out and take care of your body, as well as showing it off a little for your honey when he gets home. A woman who feels good will always look good.

Improve yourself. It's harder to work on things like education, reading, research or new skills and talents when you're stuck in the office all day. Use this particular situation to work on and hone down your mental skills, as well as teaching them to your kids. You can also learn many talents. Learn how to dance, run a well-organized home, do a little plumbing, plan family hikes, and go ahead and take some online courses while you're at it.

Bonding with your husband and children. Get your work done in an efficient and thrifty manner, so that you will have more time to spend with your husband and kids. Always greet your husband first, then ask your children how their day was, getting involved with their homework and extra curricular activities. Help them practice baseball or listen to their violin practice. A child always does better when practicing if they have an audience.

Being a homemaker is a wonderful, fulfilling experience, and it allows you to use your full array of talents, organizational and social skills, creativity and drive. Rejoice in your calling as a wife and mother!
