Why Honda Accords Are so Popular?

Seven Honda Accord Alternatives

Since its debut in the U.S. in 1976, Honda Accords have been one of the top sedans Americans choose when they are buying a car. Honda Accords have sold so well in America that they can easily be seen in almost every city across the U.S. The popularity of the sedan has had a big influence on Honda redesigning the Honda Accord every few years so the company can stay ahead of the competition and to make customers happy.

Honda's success with the Accord and the company's desire to continue to improve and redesign the Honda Accord has Honda's competition wondering what is the secret to the Honda Accord's success.

The first reason Honda Accords are so popular is because they are reliable. Whenever someone asks which cars are considered to be reliable, the Honda Accord is always mentioned as one of the most reliable cars. People that are in the market for a reliable sedan will usually consider buying a Honda Accord before buying another brand because they know Honda Accords are very reliable.

The second reason Honda Accords are so popular is because of the low maintenance fees. Since Honda Accords are considered to be reliable owners should defiantly experience having low maintenance fees. Compared to a BMW or a Mercedes, a Honda Accord that does need extra maintenance will be cheaper to fix because Mercedes and BMWs have been know to have higher maintenance fees. The Honda Accord's maintenance will also be cheaper than other brands because the parts are cheaper than some car brands.

The final reason Honda Accords are so popular is because they get really good gas mileage. When gas prices were over three dollars during the summer of 2008, older Honda Accords sales were increasing because people were trading in their gas guzzling vehicles for a more fuel efficient car. People who purchase a Honda Accord don't have to worry about sacrificing space because compared to other fuel efficient cars, the Honda Accord is capable of fitting five people comfortably and their belongings.

Despite all of the things that make the Honda Accord a popular choice for several Americans, the one thing that Honda Accords are often accused of is being dull and boring. Hopefully the 2008 redesign of the Honda Accord will change that.
