Why "The Host," "Acheron" and "Morrigan's Cross" Should Be Made into Movie's

Top 3 Books that Should Be Made into a Movie

Samantha Jean Lincoln
I absolutely love to read a good book. My daughter and myself together read over 100 books last summer alone. We read the book together and then sit down and discuss things we liked, disliked, characters, story line and how we felt about the book on a personal level. Often we would talk about how some of the books we read would make great and exciting movies and some of our wishes came true to that, like the Harry Potter series and Twilight series. These were two series that when we read them, we could only hope that they would become movies and they did. I still have several books I would like to see made into a movie, those picks are listed below.

The Host By: Stephanie Meyer

This book was an amazing tale, a story so profound I wondered how the author came up with such a story. The main characters are Melanie, Jared, Jeb, James, Ian and The wanderer (Wanda) with several supporting characters as well. Melanie struggles to find herself and save humanity from an alien species that uses humans for "Hosts". I would have to say that with the special effects needed for this film you would need a director whom specializes in special effects, someone like Chris Weitz would be able to bring this book to life.

Main characters should be played by Sarah Michelle Geller as "Melanie", Gerard Butler as "Jared", Anthony Hopkins as "Jeb", Shia LaBeouf as "Ian" and Tommy Knight as "James". With a cast like this one I believe this book could really make a big splash the same way Twilight did.

Acheron By: Sherrilyn Kenyon

This author can spin a great yarn. Her Dark Hunter series is so fascinating that you will crave more and more. Based on God's, Goddesses, Demi God's, shape sifters, vampires and more from Greek mythology. Sherilyn Kenyon puts her personal spin on this stuff to make it irresistible. The main characters in this book are Acheron the Greek God of all God's, Artemis the virgin God, Apollomy God of Destruction and Acheron's mother, Apollo God of War, Styxx (Acheron's twin brother), Simi Acheron's dragon demon.

These main characters should be played by, as Acheron & Styxx, Megan Fox as Artemis, Angelina Jolie as Apollomy, Bruce Willis as Apollo, Kirsten Stewart as Simi. The director of this movie should be Zack Snyder, whom directed Gerard Butler in 300. This would make for a fast action, dramatic film with love, hatred, violence, romance with unstoppable adventure.

Morrigan's Cross By: Nora Roberts (The Circle Series)

The goddess Morrigan chooses six individuals to end the vampire queen's rampage of violence. One of the chosen is a medieval sorcerer who must travel through time to find the other five to complete the circle of six warriors to defeat the queen. The main characters are Hoyt, Cain, Blair, Glenna, Larkin, Moira and of course the queen.

These characters should be played by, Huge Jackman as Hoyt, Robert Downey Jr. as Cain, Kelly Preston as Glenna, Michelle Williams as Blair, James Franco as Larkin and Sophia Myles as Moira. The director for this film would have to be Kevin Reynolds, he did such a wonderful job on Tristan & Isolde.

i think all the books from the dark-hunter and dream-hunter series would make excellent movies. Especially Acheron!

I agree about Angelina, but as for Simi...I would say Polly Parret (abby from NCIS)

Apollo isn't the god of war. That would be Ares.

Acheron isn't the "Greek God of All Gods" he is an Atlantean God that is the Harbinger of the world.

Good choices for the actors - especially Hugh Jackman for Hoyt!
