Why Your Husband May Be Uncomfortable with the Way You Dress

Have you ever had anyone tell you that they just don't feel comfortable with what you have on? Or perhaps they told you that the outfit you are wearing is not very flattering on you. Regardless of how you were told it all really means basically the same thing. They are not happy with your style. Statements like these can really make anyone feel very uncomfortable with herself. She may suddenly begin to think that she is too fat or perhaps to thin, and begins to second guess herself. What many people don't realize is that statements like these can lead a person to become very depressed. Especially if they can not afford to dress any differently.

I decided to speak to several husbands on this topic and see what would make them uncomfortable with the way that their wives dress. About fifty percent of the husbands that I polled stated that they would be uncomfortable if their wife was overweight and trying to wear something that did not fit her properly. The other fifty percent said that it would embarrass them if their wife was wearing something that was just a little too revealing. In both cases none of the husbands really seemed to care about whether or not their wives were happy with the way they dressed. They instead were more concerned about6 how it made them feel. Of course some wives do dress for their husbands, but the majority of wives that I spoke with stated that the way they dress is to make they feel good. Some wives often feel that their husbands want them to look a certain way in order to compete with other wives.

The wives that I spoke with also made it very clear that they could care less about whether or not the way they dressed made their husbands feel uncomfortable or not. There were however one or two wives that felt their husbands opinion meant a lot to them and they would do all that they could to make their husband feel comfortable again. Many wives also try to copy the way that they see other celebrities dress. The bottom line that I got from the majority of wives is that if there husbands feel that they don't look appropriate they need to be tactful in the way that they tell them, and then give them the money to go out and purchase something new. There is nothing that hurts a women's feelings worse than having her husband tell her that he is uncomfortable with the way she dresses.
