Does the university you attend have a magazine or newspaper that is available for the students to view? If so, have you taken a look at it or wondered about its usefulness? This is something special that can provide numerous benefits. You will learn the importance of a college publication.

The First Potential Benefit it provides: It can tell you important news about what is occurring on the campus as well as outside things that are relevant to your school. For example, the publication at the university I graduated from has recently told stories about sexual crimes that have happened there. Due to this information, some students are taking more precaution in regard to their safety such as walking off the campus with some of their friends at night. It is amazing how you can become complacent about your safety at school - as it is, I have always thought of my alma mater as being a safe haven.
