Why is Islam Spreading so Quickly?

By religious obligation Muslims are required to give Dawah. Call others to the truth of Islam. Not convert, but call them to the truth. Inform them and answer questions and clear up any misconceptions that one may have about Islam.

And if at that point a person is interested in learning more about the truth of Islam, there are resources available for them such as free Qurans, brochures, pamphlets, visits at local masjids, and even lectures.

There are over 2 Billion Muslims in the world, and less than 20% are of Arab descent, and many are concerned about such a rapid and large growth. Churches and Synagogues are preaching to their members about the growth of Islam, and calling their members to action. Frankly I am afraid of what type of action this may result in.

This has been the way that Islam has been spread of centuries. Contrary to popular belief, Islam is not simply growing because of the number of Immigrants that have come to the US. But Islam is growing because of its devout Muslims that have been regularly calling others to the truth, and the number of individuals that see its truth.

Your neighbors are Muslim, your co-workers are Muslim, and your peers at school are Muslim. Many do not know what their beliefs are and are curious. They have questions, and Muslims have made themselves available to answer them; and not by force but by choice, not by knocking on doors, and proselytizing on street corners, and or going to other countries promising a life of ease if one was to simply convert.

Many like myself have converted to Islam simply because we had questions, and those questions grew into knowledge, and that knowledge grew into faith.

There are organizations that have been established simply for giving dawah. It is not performed in a forceful or violent manner in any shape or form.

One organization in particular by the name of Why Islam uses simple techniques like booths at state fairs, malls, and other events that draw a large crowd.

Recently they have even begin a campaign of placing ads on buses that state Veiled Women, Jihad, Jesus, Muhammad, Why Islam. Get your questions answered. A phone number and a website are also on these banners. With hundreds of thousands of incoming calls, emails, and website hits each day. This is one of the main ways people come to know the truth about Islam. Not by force, not by the sword, and not out of ignorance, but by their natural curiosity.

People are drawn to Islam because of the characteristics of its people. This has always been what has drawn people to Islam. The state of its people, and one has always been given a choice to take on Islam as a life style. A life style that brings peace to the soul after submission to the One God that created us all.
