Why is Kim Kardashian so Famous?

One very hard question to answer is why is Kim Kardashian is so famous? She does not sing or dance, she is not known for acting and she has not made a contribution to the world by way of science or literature.

How did a girl with virtually no known talent become a household name? Many think this started when a sex tape that she was in was released some five years ago under much protest from her. According to Reuters, the sex tape got her the fame, but her TV show and social networking has kept her on the top.

This was before the day when every other celebrity had a sex tape in their library. Kim Kardashian's sex tape was made with an old boyfriend of hers and then sold without Kim's permission. According to Kim her legal team was unable to stop the sale of the tape, even though she filed a lawsuit, according to People Magazine.

Once the sex tape came out, Kim became noticed. She was offered a reality show, in which is still going strong. Kim stars in a reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashian's along with her mother, Kris Jenner, her step-father, who is famous Olympian Bruce Jenner, and her siblings.

Once again, Kim becomes famous for a reality show, but how does this show keep its popularity. It is unlike other reality shows, like "Jersey Shore," where the cast drinks to oblivion and sleeps with anything with a pulse. It is not like other reality shows with a grand prize at the end of it for the winner of a competition. It is actually mundane in comparison to the excitement seen on other reality venues.

It is Kim's personality and her willingness to share everything that is most likely fueling this weekly entertainment icon. Nothing is sacred in the Kardashian family.

A recent example of Kim's willingness to share personal moments came a few months ago when her ex-boyfriend, Reggie Bush, left her a heart felt voice message after hearing that she had a new boyfriend, Miles Austin. This started a debate in the media on whether Kim went to far airing this phone message, according to Mail Online.

The voice message that Reggie left was for Kim's ears only, but she shared it with her brother and sister on speaker phone. At the same time her siblings listened, it was being taped for the rest of the world to hear because she was in the middle of taping for the next season while she played this message. The rest of the world finally got to hear this last week.

Kim's step father, Bruce Jenner actually agreed to let the reality TV crew film him while he went for a colonoscopy. That was big, when it comes to a man and his privacy. This may have served as a public service shot as a side effect of this episode. Seeing someone go through this, may have helped take the fear out of the procedure for other men.

Kim went with her sister, Khloe as she got a bikini hair removal laser procedure. While Khloe was all prep to go and on the procedure table, Kim looks down at her sister and complements the appearance of her vagina. Apparently Kim thought it would look somewhat wrinkled and was surprised to see that is was not. This is another incident of shock value entertainment that comes from this show, it can be seen on a Celebitchy video.

These types of experiences from "Keeping Up With the Kardashian's" is what has people coming back for more. Of course the fact that Kim and her sisters are gorgeous women who have their fingers on the pulse of fashion and beauty also figures in the equation somewhere!
