Why You Need to Learn About Food

Timothy Scheiman
I don't pretend to be an expert about diet and nutrition. In fact just the opposite but I do know enough to keep myself healthy. Its very important to eat the right foods for a lot of reasons. Nutrition is a huge subject so what I intend to do is give you reasons why you should make studying food for your all around health.

Eat more often

Eating three meals a day is not enough and skipping meals is not good either. You should eat five or six times per day this helps you burn food and stay a certain weight. If you eat the right foods more often you will even lose a few pounds. You will have more pep and feel better.

Keeps you regular

Some people can go days without having a bowel movement this is not healthy. You should be having a bowel movement everyday if not at least twice. If your having diarrhea or cramped up this should be an indicator that your not eating the right foods.

Helps to fight disease

People who eat properly normally get sick less often than those who don't. Eating correctly will keep you healthy and happier. If your constantly feeling poorly it may be your diet. The foods your eating could be poison to you. Some foods can have a reverse affect on us. For each person its different. Some foods when eaten don't make you break out with hives but will make you sluggish or feel ill. You should start to examine what your eating and when and what kind of affect it has on you.

More energy

Your body needs fuel you cannot go skipping eating and expecting to have the energy to do your normal tasks of the day. If you ever just crash after the end of the day that could be an indicator your out of balance and need to eat better. Your body needs the proper balance of food and water to function properly.

Less mood swings

A healthy diet means a healthy mind. If your suffering from mood swings it could be your diet. Our physical health has a direct connection to our mental health as well. If you find yourself irritable it could be your diet that is the culprit.

Better sleep

The foods you eat will also affect your sleep. Diet has a direct bearing on our rest. If you still feel tired in the morning your diet could also be a part of that. One quick tip if you have to eat something before you go to bed try a piece of fruit. It will keep your sugar levels up and won't affect your sleep.

Food can affect us in many ways. So take the time to learn a few things about food. You will be better for it.
