As individuals, we get to make choices in life. We always live with the results of the choices we make.
Making Mistakes
Part of the learning process in life is making mistakes and learning from them. Sometimes we have to make the same mistakes more than once in order to learn from them. And sometimes our actions look like moments of insanity because we do the same thing over and over again; and expect a different result every time.
History
Nobody likes it when history repeats itself in a negative fashion. One would always hope that you learn from your mistakes the first time around. Unfortunately, sometimes history repeats itself for a reason, because you still need to learn a lesson from it.
Personality
Life doesn't discriminate based on any personality traits or characteristics.
Easier Said Than Done
It's easy for somebody to sit back and say," why, life is what we make of it." To be honest, sometimes it's easier said than done. This is because life has so many variables in it. The variables in life that I think about would take me back to logic class in college. If then statements, if, this is true, then this is true. And so on.
Make Life Complicated
Sometimes, life is simple and we try our best to make it complicated. Too often we try to analyze things and pick them apart. People want to know what makes something tick. They want to reproduce the results in a laboratory somewhere. They want to know that they can get the same results every time an action is performed.
Truth
The truth of the matter; is that sometimes you will get a different result every time, depending upon how you look at it. You can change your results if you change your perception.
Perception
Everything comes down to being a matter of perception in life. This does not make things that are true, false. And, this; in no way means, that what is up is down. Black is black and white is white no matter how you look at it.
The Facts
The facts should always speak for themselves. If it's plainly obvious to see, it's a fact.
Logic
My logic is, why spend time trying to reinvent the wheel when it's already there? I see that if you spend your time wisely; then, you will always get a worthwhile result.
Matter Of Perception
Yet again, I have to bring back the matter of perception because you will always judge your results based on how you perceive the world around you.
Double Talk
You might look at all this and think that this is a bunch of double talk, that I'm saying the same thing but in different ways. And, in some ways I am, in some ways I'm not. It's still a matter of perception.
Illusion
If I perceive things to be true that aren't; then, that means that it's an illusion.
Coping
We all have little illusions that we live by. I think its part of our coping mechanism and it's a stress reliever too. But, if we ever take the time to look at it and see the truth in it, it could create more stress then it relieves. Ironic, isn't it?
Simplistic
Am I being too simplistic? Am I taking things out of proportion? How do we determine the importance of something? The answers will always involve perception.
Family
I could talk about the importance of family and how you need a support system that will come along and pick you up when you fall but, it's how you perceive things that will get you thinking every time about what your reality is.
Life
As human beings, in order for life to work, we need each other.
My Balls Are Bigger Than Yours
If I sat back and said that I have bigger bombs than you or that my balls are bigger than yours, I'm only trying to boost my ego. And, often times the ego is not based on reality, it's based on perception.
Why Life Is What We Make Of It
This brings us back around to the main question, why life is what we make of it? Life is what we make of it because we are the ones making the choices, we are the ones taking the actions, and we are the ones living with the results of those actions. You are always responsible for your own actions.
Decision
There's always a choice to be made and a decision to make. Even choosing not to make a choice is still a decision. How's that for double talk?
