We arrive at Ruby Tuesday's at about 11:45am to avoid the noontime rush. We made it just in time! Once inside we were greeted and seated immediately by the hostess. As we were getting settled into our seats she asked if we had ever been to a Ruby Tuesday. We answered that we have not and she proceeded to welcome us, explain different parts of the menu, and informed us of the magnificent salad bar that waited just around the corner.
We could see the waitress watching, waiting for us to be settled in enough, and then she headed over to ask if we were ready for something to drink and maybe an appetizer. We order a soda each and decided to try the Sampler. With all of the appetizer choices, we wanted to try a little bit of everything. This Sampler came with Tuesday Tenders, Buffalo Wings, Cheese Sticks, and Asian Spring Rolls.
While looking at the menu, we noticed that there were about twenty different kinds of burgers! All sounding so delicious! There was also a Seafood section, Chicken, Steak, Pasta, and Ribs section. All of the choices...what would we do? Well, we figured that since we were out and this is our first trip to Ruby Tuesday, why not go for the gusto and get a nice meal. Also, we noticed that a portion of the menu was dedicated to those who are health conscious. Ruby Tuesday offers wraps, seafood and chicken, steaks, soups and salads, all with a break down of how many calories, fat, carbs and fiber the meals contain.
Our waitress returned with our drinks and appetizers. She asked if we were ready to order yet. That was our cue! I ordered the Chicken Portobello with White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes. This comes with a nice parmesan cheese sauce and sauteed Portobello mushrooms, steamed fresh broccoli and garlic toast. Now it was my husband's turn to order. He decided to get the full rack of ribs with classic barbecue sauce and a baked potato.
While waiting for our meal we headed over to the salad bar. We loaded up our plates with all of the fixin's for the perfect salad and went back to our table to enjoy it.
Not long after we finished our salad, our meal had arrived. Let me tell ya, I think it was the best chicken I've ever gotten while eating out! My husband was also raving about the ribs. The meat was so tender and juicy it fell right off of the bone!
This has definitely got to be one of the better places we've gone to eat. The service was wonderful, our waitress was very careful about not disturbing us while we had food in our mouths (This is a big problem in other restaurants).
When we were leaving we grabbed one of the kids menus for when we plan our next visit, which will probably be very soon.
