Why Do I Love Blue October? What's the Deal?

Blue October Only Appeals to a Certain Segment of Your Society

Donald Pennington
If anyone wants to see the appeal of Blue October to the masses of us listening to them, one need only catch a rendition of "What If We Could Be," "The Sound of Pulling Heaven Down," or perhaps "Dirt Room," to understand the message supporting those of us folks around the world who wake up in the morning, not very much in love with ourselves.

Living with a mental illness has been all but too unbearable for far too many until Blue October came along. Now, those of the author's fellow humans afflicted with that all-too-recognizable cognitive dissidence have someone who's put our souls upon the airwaves and hearing that it's Justin just gives us all gratitude. No better spokesperson could be found.

From the first hearing of "Calling You," and Hate Me," Blue October has been a band that's helped the author explain a few emotions that led his ventures into exploring the root causes, thereby finding some sorts of reconciliation with the past. For that, Justin, the author, among millions, thanks you.

Blue October may not appeal to every individual on Earth. They're not meant to. Justin and his fellow band members brought to music, and good music at that, the fears, memories, and "tics," that only a few anywhere in the world suffer. Much like some musicians sing for the broken-hearted, confused, or lonely, Blue October sings for our frustrations with the words we find difficult to cobble.

Blue October is a contemporary rock and roll band formed in 1995. Originally, the members hail from Houston, Texas. As of this publish date, the band is comprised of the following members: Justin Furstenfeld, lead vocals/rhythm guitar; Jeremy Furstenfeld, drums/percussion; Ryan Delahoussee, backup vocals/violin/mandolin, C.B Hudson, backup vocals/lead guitar' and Matt Novesky, backup vocals/bass guitar.

Blue October was the name selected for the band, based on a visit to a hospital in a past October month. Recording their debut album in 1997, "The Answers" was released in 1998, according to Wikipedia.com. To the members of Blue October, the author, and millions of fans worldwide, we express our appreciation.
