Why I Love Journal 10+

A Journal I Recommend to All My Friends

Brooke Lorren
I've had a journal off and on for most of my life. I have journal entries that go all the way back to when I was seven years old. Despite my best intentions, I don't always keep a journal every day. Sometimes I forget a day. Sometimes the days grow into weeks, months, and years of forgetting to journal. This year, I discovered one of the most outstanding journals around: Journal 10+. It is easy to keep up, yet has plenty of space to write what you want to say about the day. It has a unique design that makes it useful for scrapbooking and answering questions like "what year did my car get stuck in the sand at the beach?" I like this journal so much, I have recommended it to my friends, despite the nearly $40 price tag.

The Unique Design of Journal 10+

Journal 10+ is a journal designed to last 10 years. It is unique in that every entry for a particular day on the calendar is entered on one page. For example, every July 4th is on the same page. If you're trying to remember which year the power went out on Christmas day, all you have to do is go to the page on December 25th to look it up. I'm still on my first year of keeping the journal, but sometimes it is fun to look back on what you were doing the previous year. This journal makes it easy. This design is great for scrapbookers. We sometimes don't make a scrapbook page right after the event; if you're making a page years later, you might not remember which year you went on the hike to the waterfall. With Journal 10+, you can look it up.

Journal 10+ is actually an 11 year journal. It is designed so that no matter when you buy the journal in the year, there will always be 10 years left. Because Time Flies, the company that makes the journals, comes out with a new journal every year. To get a full ten years out of the journal, just buy the latest edition.

Easy to Keep Up

Journal 10+ is easy to keep up. My mother-in-law bought me a notebook-type journal for Christmas last year; although I tried writing in it every day, it took a while every day to fill the page. I missed a couple of days because I was just too busy. Journal 10+ only has four lines per day. That might not be enough for some days, but that's okay. There are extra pages in the back of the book where you can write more if you have an especially eventful day. Since I bought this journal, I have not missed a day. I didn't get around to writing the previous day's entry once until the next afternoon, but with only four lines to write, it wasn't hard to remember enough to fill in the entry.

Extra Features

Journal 10+ has tons of extra features that make this more than just your typical journal. For example, there is a long-term planner for goals you have for years in the future, as well as space to record your goals and accomplishments for every year. There is a monthly overview at the beginning of every month where you can record little reminders to yourself, or small notes about the day. At the top of every journal page, there is space to put birthdays and anniversaries (as they're not likely to change over the next decade). In the back, there is a "Keeping Track" section where you can note medical, automobile, and other events (there are two sections that you can label yourself; I keep track of my online earnings and my kids' milestones). In the very back, there is a "Special Dates" section. Record birthdays and anniversaries in it, and you can see all your friends' special days in advance.

If you're looking for a journal, I highly recommend Journal 10+. I can't say enough great things about it.
