Mandola's Italian Market: Fresh and Homemade
Mandola's has a broad selection of pastas, sausages, pizza, breads, wines, pastries, coffees and gelato, and everything I tried was fresh and delicious. Their sausage is homemade and they grow their own grapes in Texas for their own wine label, Mandola Estate Wines from their winery in Driftwood, Texas. The gelato is made on-site fresh every day and they offer 18 flavors. You can also get that to go. Oh yes, and they bake their own bread. I just can't praise this place enough!
Mandola's Italian Market: Like being in Italy
However, the very best thing about Mandola's is the atmosphere. I went with a friend who has actually been to Italy and remarked that it feels just like being in Italy. There are no waitresses, you order and pick up at the counter, and so you feel like you can just sit there forever and enjoy yourself and are not rushed. It is a lively hip atmosphere as well in a quaint upscale shopping and residential area. There is an outdoor patio area with a fountain as well as indoor seating. We enjoyed sitting inside during dinner time and it was fairly crowded each evening we visited, and yet was not too noisy.
There is a grocery section with authentic products and an awesome selection of wines. So you just stroll through the grocery section and pick out what you want including a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers, etc. and take it to your table. You can literally sit there for hours and enjoy a bottle of wine and a pizza, then move on to a pastry, and of course treat yourself to an authentic gelato as a grand finale.
Mandola's Italian Market: Location
Mandola's Italian Market is located at 4700 West Guadalupe, Suite 12 in Austin, Texas and they are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you love Italian food and a casual welcoming atmosphere, you will love Mandola's Italian Market. It's a great place to meet friends for a glass of wine and a fresh taste of Italy.

You did a wonderful job describing this place. It sounds awesome! Great review.
You made me imagine being there and I yearned to be there, both. Your description made the market atmosphere come real to me. I'd love to visit this place and relax for hours, as you wrote people could do :)
Very nice!
