Why Do Men Cheat?

Why do men cheat? This has been a question that has been around for ages. Unfortunately, there is no one answer to this question which makes it even more confusing. Men cheat due to an abundance of things that women tend to not understand. Do not get me mistaken, all men are not cheaters. There are definitely good ones out there to be found. You must learn how and be willing to dig through the trash to find your treasure. But nevertheless, this popular question still stands. Why do men cheat? I will give my theories on why some men are habitual cheaters and may not be able to change.

Some men are unable to commit. This is one of the main reasons that cheating tends to occur very frequently. In their eyes, being tied down would be one of the most awful and stressful things ever. Not being able to do what they want freely and without question is what drives this inability to commit.

Some men like that "extra" boost of confidence. Having more than one woman telling them all of these positive things and boosting their confidence make men like this feel great. This eventually does cause these men to go on a big ego trip.

Some men think they can cheat simply because they can. Very well known excuses of this include:

"I am a man. I find it hard to not think about sex, remember?"

"C'mon, I am a man. I have all of these beautiful women at my finger tips."

"I am a man. I cannot resist temptation so I don't even try."

Men that fit into this category are obviously stuck in a mindset that men can do whatever they wish to do without having to face any consequences. These are the type that you really must try to stay away from.

Some men cheat due to being nagged constantly by their spouse. This is not to say that it is okay to cheat under these circumstances, but it is a very common reason. Men that fit into this category tend to find a release from the stress from another woman. They also feel that it is perfectly okay for them to do this since they believe they have a valid excuse to cheat.

Some men cheat because they do not feel their spouse is who she used to be. Whether she has undergone mental or physical changes, some men feel less attracted if this occurs. One of the common changes that women face is the physical changes after childbirth. Men in this category may find the changes unattractive and look elsewhere for someone that they are attracted to. It is the ultimate slap in the face to women and unfortunately occurs all of the time.

Indeed, there are many more reasons why men cheat and there are new theories emerging almost on a daily basis. Many men who cheat do not care how it makes their spouse feel, therefore making it almost impossible to stop. What many women have to learn is that even though there are so many cheating men out there, there are also many good men that are waiting to be found. After being in a relationship that causes pain, some women tend to take it out on the next man they are with by becoming a cheater themselves. This is why we have even more women who are cheaters today. My advice is to not take out these frustrations from a cheating man by doing the same thing he did to you. Learn lessons from these experiences and ultimately know that he was only preparing you mentally for someone much better to come into your life.
