Why Do Men Need Women?

Women. I simply cannot fathom why we men do not understand how much we need them in our lives. I wonder if we men understood just how much a woman enhances, nurtures, stimulates, develops, and changes our wayward animal maleness, would we be so willing to abandon our mates by betraying them sexually?

Let's face it. We men are pigs. We are filthy goats. We usually have only one thing on our minds (do I even need to go there?). We are so one-track minded that it is a wonder we manage to ever get by in life. In fact, if one were to critically examine what's going on in the world today, especially America, which is mainly run by men, we shouldn't be surprised by the state the world is in.

Men are screwing up...no.. have screwed up the world, have we not?

This has led me lately to wonder just what it would be like if women ran America. Seeing Ms. Pelosi becoming the Speaker of the House, and contemplating Hillary running for president has made me give it more than a thought or two.

As a member in good standing of the male race, let me go on record by saying that when left to my own devices, I am a screw up. Enthralled with myself, quite enchanted with my abilities, I go on witch-hunts, tirades, diatribes, and obsessions in my writing. Frankly, I need to run my ideas by a good woman first before I hit "send." When I am left on my own, I end up messing up.

My wife. I hold her in the highest regard. I love this woman for so many reasons and on so many levels. One of the many reasons is that she sets me straight.

She is more patient than Job with me, and waits for me. She waits until I have hanged myself with my ill-thought-out strategies, plans, and writings. She is waiting when I come to her, blue in the face from emotional strangulation.

Gently, patiently, and most wisely, this woman, my Cynthia, sets me back on the right path. How did I ever live without this woman?

We have a friend, a woman pal, and a sister of our souls, who also sets me straight. And she does it in such a way that humbles me into seeing how much I need correction.

Thank God for women.

Just why men can't see this, I do not know. As a member of all things male, I cringe to the point of wanting to slap some sense into my fellow MEN for how they too often treat their women.

Male infidelity? Slap them.

Domestic Violence? Lock them up forever after a good slapping.

Yelling and screeching at their women? Slap them again, only harder.

(Slapping is such a male response to something wrong, isn't it? See what I mean?)

Most men just do not get that without a good woman, they are left to wallow in a disgusting mire of screw ups, mistakes, agonies over how to get out of the pit of despair they've dug for themselves.

How would it be for women to run the world?

I don't know.

But maybe it's time for men to give them chance and see how they do.

God knows, we've messed things up long enough!
