Why Michael Jackson Owes a Refund

A Logical State of Reasoning for One Declining Superstar

A quick appearance is not acceptable
The prince of Brunei reportedly paid Michael Jackson $10 million to attend his 25th birthday party. This should not be a surprising request. Michael Jackson seems to still have a large fan base in Asia. However, the pop singer left this party early. Jackson claimed that he wasn't feeling well. That is understandable, but notice should have been given beforehand.

It would be foolish for one to believe that Michael Jackson suddenly became ill at this party for the prince of Brunei. Unless he does actually have some kind of illness that changes his well-being at any given time, there is no excuse for an early departure. He was paid a lot of money to attend this party. For ten million dollars, Michael Jackson surely needs to stay for as long as the party lasts. Many cultures are different, so there is not telling what the average party length is in Asia. In the US, citizens usually leave after someone cuts the cake.

The Money could be used elsewhere
$10 million can be utilized in many ways. One important purpose for the sake of this article is that of an important birthday party. The prince of Brunei wanted Michael Jackson to attend his celebration. If the singer is not able to show up and stay, there is nothing wrong with that. However, the prince of Brunei should be able to then select another favorite artist to attend his birthday party.

There are many talented music artists that would have more than likely enjoyed this invitation. Prince Azim could have even kept it in the family and opted for Janet Jackson. He could have also paid a lower amount and used the rest of the money for gifts, charity and local development. None of this has been possible because there are no reports of a refund from Michael Jackson. It is not right for one to keep money that he or she does not deserve.

Michael Jackson broke the deal
He may be a very talented performer and legendary music artists, but Jackson is not that special. At this time and in that particular scenario, Prince Azim is way more important than Jackson. The man is royalty, and in a much better position than his favorite singer in many areas. Jackson broke the deal by leaving this birthday party and should give the prince of Brunei a full or partial refund. The deal required Michael Jackson to attend the birthday party.

He did not even have to sing. The average music artist does not get this kind of payday for one simple task. It is reported that Jackson spent the night complaining about being snubbed by Prince (the music artist) over a duo tour. Apparently, Michael Jackson has begged Prince to perform a series of concerts with him. This plead was made as a result of Jackson needing help to re-launch his music career. The singer's personal problems have no place at the birthday party, especially when he didn't spend much time there. These are all reasons why Michael Jackson owes a refund.

The guy could have paid me to attend the party. I could have sing, though not that good. In fact I'd stay heaps long, in fact he may have to pay me to leave =). It does piss me off to see people get money they don't deserve. $10 Million dollars? that's more than what most people can make in a life time and yet a full day/weekender was just too much for Michael Jackson? What an ungrateful ass. The Prince of Brunei ain't that much better, that kind of money could have fed thousands of starving people world wide.

Im not sure why prince azim keeps paying celebritys to attend his partys.. Your right, maybe the money could go on better things, like the movie/singing carreer he so desperately wants, so he can be a celebrity, rather then the guy who pays celebritys to pose with him. Just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm kind of getting tired of hearing about Michael's antics, but he does seem to do a lot of them, doesn't he?
