I don't usually pay interest to younger artists but Miley Cyrus seems to be able to catch the attention of just about anyone. From her popular Disney show to her sold out concerts to her controversial pictures and risky behavior, people seem to always have a reason to talk about Miley. Although I love Disney and find myself watching Hannah Montana whenever the urge hits me, I had not paid too much attention to Miley as a person until my little sister and cousin starting informing me about her. I recently watched all the videos of the Miley and Mandy Show on Youtube as well as other Youtube videos and I am now aware of why people love Miley as much as they do.

10 Reasons Why Miley Cyrus is Special

1. The girl is funny! She has no problem embarrassing herself in the name of entertainment.

2. She is down to earth and does not take herself too seriously.

3. She speaks her mind and does not care what others think about it.

4. She deleted her twitter page and then made a rap about it. Who does that? Miley!

5. She is talented and knows how to perform.

6. She is real which is hard for many to accept because they assume that celebrities came from some other planet and should act as such.

7. She is hard working. I am still waiting for her to take a break and breathe.

8. She has a great relationship with her family and shares that with her fans.

9. She has an interesting wardrobe and admits to shopping at target.

10. She does not attempt to be perfect.

These things make her special because they differ from what we expect from celebrities and what we are used to receiving from other celebrities. Though many may criticize her for some of her choices, even blame her father for her decisions, the fact of the matter is that she is human. She is a teenager and acts as a teenager. I am glad that she is taking the time to live her life as a child and make mistakes rather than growing up to fast. Many celebrities, who became famous as children, never got to enjoy their teenage years. Miley will continue to have many great and loyal fans as long as she continues to be herself. I wish her a long and prosperous career. Let Miley be Miley.
