Why I Have Never Been Able to Leave Associated Content

Kelly Fleming
I have been with Associated Content for 2 years now and like everyone else I am looking for a way to earn extra money. I have navigated away from A.C. but I always find myself back here where I started. They are just too good to pass up compared to the other sites. The incentive is always better here. Here is a list of all of the writing sites I have joined and some of them I still work for.

Associated Content:

Associated Content is still by far my favorite. They offer you upfront payment plus page views (performance). A new system was integrated by them in 2008 where you are paid on your clout level. You can make anywhere between $1.50 and $2.00 per 1,000 page views depending upon your clout level. The upfront payments are not as high as they used to be and they no longer pay upfront for videos.

Constant Content:

This allows you to create your own articles and set your own price. You can price your articles for usage, unique, and full rights. Constant Content will take a percentage of what your articles earn that is how they make their money. It is very hard to get your reviewed and accepted to appear on this site.

Informative Post:

Douglas Brown started Informative Post in 2007. He offers a wide number of topics to choose from that have a set pay. As of writing this article 'Sports' was the highest paying at $4.18 for at least a 300 word article and the lowest one is 'Technology' at $3.53. You can only have 10 queued at any given time. There is an area for donations, and to be featured on the front page you have to pay $5. If Doug needs an area for donations and you will need to pay to be featured how can he afford to pay you?

Helium:

Helium back in the day would only offer page views for payment. No they offer upfront payments depending upon the number of writing stars that you have, and the number of rating star that you have. The upfront payments are $.50 to $2.50 you will only be able to earn money on performance payments if you at least have 1 writing star. It will take a lot of time and quality writing to earn anything decent on this site.

TextBroker:

When you first submit a sample article to TextBroker this is how they will decide what star rating you are. Most authors automatically start at a rating of three stars. There are a total of 5 stars if you have one star there are no jobs available the higher you go the more you will make. TextBoker's pay scale is on the low end 500 words might bring in $3 or $4.

If you plan on making a career out of freelance writing or maybe you are looking for extra income Associated Content is the best. The other sites listed might work for you as well it will just depend on what you want to do.
