Why Nintendo Wii is the Best of the Next-Gen Systems

So I just recently bought a Nintendo Wii. My friend and I waited from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. at the Nintendo store in Rockefeller Center, standing in line with hundreds of others waiting just like myself. I know what you are thinking, who waits in line at 4 a.m. for a video game system? A few of my pals said that if we really wanted one, just wait untill after Christmas and buy one. No, if you really want one, you wait outside like the other fans who have counted down until the day to get them while they were available in stores

Well, when we got it home later that night, and I realized something about this machine...it is the most unique and maybe the most fun video game console ever. All I can think about while waving the wii-mote wildly while to trying to box like Mike Tyson was, there's a reason we waited in line, I think I am in love.

What makes Wii so different you ask? The wireless, WiFi controller of course. Instead of pressing a button to swing, you actually swing at the ball. Instead of hitting the A button to throw a hook, you actually swing your hand in a hook motion.

And unlike the PlayStation or Xbox, everyone can enjoy the Wii. Everyone from toddlers to middle age mothers and even grandparents are already taking part in its delights. Hey I am having fun with it so I suspect that others can. And not to mention the pricing is affordable at $250, not too bad compared to what the other systems are going for.

Alas, there is a downside to the Wii. There have been reports of people being so into game play that they actually have broken their television with the wii-mote and even caused injuries due to consistent swinging towards the head. Yes it is true. So please be careful while enjoying some of your favorite games, I can see how this can actually happen.

If you are not in the best shape, like myself, the Wii will make you ache. The past few days my arms have hurt, my back has hurt, my legs have hurt... pretty much my entire body. And boy do you sweat, especially when you're playing a boxing game or any game for that matter. But in the end I believe that these are good things. I think that if most of these kids are going to be sitting playing video games, why not get a work out while doing so? Who knows if the Wii will be the best thing ever? All I can say is that I could be in the best shape of my life while playing these games on the Nintendo Wii.
