Why Not to Become a Seller on Ebay
and How the Small Profits Can End Up Makeing You Loose Alot One Day
I was once a member of eBay and paypal for 10 plus years. Only the last 4 or 5 years did I build up a pretty nice business with a decent profit margin. Now why would somebody not love to do this for income and work from? Well in my following report I am going to show you exactly what to watch out for and my story.
I was selling many goods that I was obtaining from many different sources. Although the profit margins range in amount if you have quantity and quality items you can be very successful at this. Becoming a successful ebay powerseller is very hard. First you must source products to sell which is very hard, there are many places you can find so called "wholesalers" all over the internet but when you check there prices with the current going rate on ebay, 99.9% of the time the going rate on ebay is less then your "wholesale price." Ok so lets say you have overcome this and found a product that you can sell for a decent profit. You sell and sell and keep your prices and profit low but sell quantity. You build up a nice account with 0 or very few negative feedbacks from your buyers and you go out for your way to make sure your buyers are happy with your service. This can be very time consuming and stressful at times. While you are doing all this you have to also watch out for people trying to scam you so you must know all the policies of papal and payment methods.
Ok so I had a very nice ebay business built up and my feedback was at 99.4% with a score of 24,000, yes I had 24,000 positive feedbacks and only 15 negatives. My ebay account was my baby and I treasured it and it took me so much time and effort to perfect it.
Now the story on how ebay and paypal ruined me life. I was importing items from overseas that were very hot sellers on ebay. I was selling about 10 items a day at a profit of about $12 on each item. This is all I was doing to provide a roof over my family's head. One day mid July I get an email saying that I am suspended from ebay and that my papal account is limited.
I had over $3500 frozen in paypal and my ebay account suspended for no reason. When I wrote to ebay about the issue they just responded with an automated email saying I was to high risk for them. How am I all the sudden high risk when I am a member in such high standing for so long. The money in paypal is still stuck in there, they will not release the funds for 180 days as per there policy. Ebay and paypal is a dead end for their sellers and there are many blogs and forums dedicated to the 1000's of sellers affected by this issue daily. Since I dedicated so much time and effort into building up an account so perfect and just loosing it ALL for no apparent reason I would not ever recommend somebody going through of becoming a seller on ebay as it is a dead end.
