Why Obama Paves the Way for Palin

Historically, the better looking candidate has more chances of winning the presidency. We see that clearly in this election, since Obama would never have won by a landslide had McCain been younger and better looking. Obama may have won anyway but not so emphatically. According to common sense, McCain was a much more realistic choice for president, if we can look beyond the emotional wails of "change", etc. He has vastly more governing life, military experience and vastly more character. But alas, he is old and wrinkled. Obama made sure to wave his hands wildly everywhere he went, cunningly reminding voters of McCain's physical defect and stressing his own physical health and youth.

Of course we also worship youth. That helped Obama a lot. So it's basically looks and youth that America is hungry for these days. If the Republicans provide someone with these qualities, as well as character, integrity and governing experience, Sarah Palin is the #1 candidate for the next election. No one on the democrat side can outclass her, including Obama, and they have no one with enough hands on experience and integrity to match Palin. They will find it hard enough to dig up someone who has no scandal linked to him/her and truly their best bet would be Hillary Clinton, who has class, good looks for her age, but lacks integrity big time. True her husband wreaks of scandal but I don't think after Americans ignoring Obama's relationship with the foul mouthed Rev. Wright, they will care at all about Bill Clinton's transgressions.

It would be interesting to see if Clinton and Palin do end up running against each other at some point, but I imagine it would sooner be Palin vs. Obama. I hope the Republican party will groom her for candidancy for the next 4 years and not waste time on anyone else.

I think Sarah Palin will be a good candidate for President in 2012. But I also think she might do better in 2016 when she doesn't have to campaign against a "celebrity" personality like Obama. Sarah Palin has been very busy since the last election and yes, she is planning on another Presidential run in 2012.
