Having your own garden is beneficial to you in many ways, such as saving money on fruits and vegetables during the years, getting physical exercise and finding a hobby that you can do and relax. There are many reasons to have a garden and grow your own stuff the best reason is you will never be able to find fresher fruits and vegetables than picking them from your garden then preparing them. Here are the best reasons why you should have your own garden.

1. Freshness: The vegetables will be fresh no matter when you want to have fresh vegetables; all you have to do is walk to your garden and choose what you want.

2. Save Money: With the price of gas going up, you will save money on gas, as well as saving money on food budget. The cost of the seeds and small plants that you need to start your garden is a fraction of what you would pay for the fruits and vegetables in the stores. If you grow enough during the year you can freeze and can the excess to have during the winter months.

3. Making Money: You can grow your own garden and sell the items if you wish. Many people would prefer to buy from you because you can tell them exactly what chemicals if you used any were used in the garden. Again they will love to buy fresh vegetables and fruit.

4. You Control the use of Chemicals: You can grow an organic garden without any unnecessary chemicals. This will be healthier for you and your family, and less expensive to you through out the year if you freeze some of the items from the garden. Organic vegetables are more expensive in the stores and growing your own can really save you money.

5. Exercise: You will get plenty of exercise when growing your garden, there are many things that you will be doing several times of week that will give you quite a workout, but this will be a fun workout.

6. Relaxation: Working in the garden will be physical yet at that same time relaxing. You will be able to work off your frustrations and feel better at the end of a long day at work. You will be able to clear your mind while working in the garden.

Having a garden is very beneficial and rewarding. You can make your garden as big or small as you want and still be able to reap the rewards at the end of the summer months when the harvest is ready to eat.

Years ago, putting in a garden was just part of the things you did in the spring. Everyone had a garden. More are going back to it now because of prices.
