Why Are Parents Lying to Their Children About Santa and His Reindeers

M Pears
For years, many children have been waiting on that cold winter night, for Santa on Christmas eve night to bring them presents, and mysteriously the presents appear the following morning from the jolly Saint Nick. Now saying it is a Santa Clause is all in fun, and joy during the Christmas holiday, and you have to be good all during the year so Santa will come and leave presents, but this is teaching a lie to your children, and shouldn't be told. Christmas will be no less fun if children was told the truth. It teaches kids that lying constantly is okay, if it's fun, and it's being taught directly from their parents. Some children even try to leave cookies and write letters to Santa, and once again sometime Santa write back, which is nothing but several lies being told to children. Is their a Santa Clause? Yes, only when you put on the Santa Clause suit. Is he going to every little girl, and boy house on Christmas eve night on a sleigh flown by flying reindeers? No way, there is no known species that a reindeer can fly. Would you tell your child a dog can drive a car? It's the same thing to say that reindeers can fly, and that is just another big fat lie that alot of people participate in. Let's say Santa went to every little girls, and boys house on Christmas eve night that would make his sleigh go the speed of 650 miles per second 3,000 times the speed of sound which is humanly impossible. That dosen't even start to calculate the weight of the sleigh with all the toys. It has been said that you have to be nice, and not naughty to get toys from Santa, which is unfair to some children if they are believing in Santa because every parent can't afford the nice gifts, or gifts at all for that matter, and the child can began to feel as if he or she is a bad child, due to the lack of gifts that he receive from Santa, or the gifts he didn't get at all, this could also cause low self esteem. If you are telling your child that it is a Santa and than, once the child finds out the truth later, it may cause the child to also not believe other parental teachings like not believing in God. Christmas is the time for celebrating, but do we all have to tell our children lies to make it better? No!. Santa is coming to town, but not on no children roof top in one night, not Santa, and Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder, and Blitzen. Sleigh bells be will ringing, but not cause Santa is coming down the chimney.

This is just nothing more than pure PC BS, and falls into the "I DON'T LIKE IT SO BAN IT!!!" category. Why can't some folk just let kids be kids.

Well done. I coudn't of put it better. Parents actually need to tell their children the truth and create trust between their child and themselves.

    Take care.
