Why PC Maintenance Is So Important to Your Computer

Eddie Hines
If all insurance was optional which would you keep? Health? Car? Life? Chances are if you had your way you would leave it up to God to protect you from danger and keep your money. However, that's not the way life works. We all have insurance for the "What ifs" and the "uh-ohs". How many people saved thousands of dollars, precious times, and a life by having valuable insurance?Insurance should be used to protect your assets. The thing is, what do you consider an asset?

An asset is anything in your possession that generates money or prevents you from losing money. Your car is an asset because it helps you get to work to make money. It also transports you to different destinations of choice. If something happened to that asset you would lose a lot of money and a lot of time. Insurance is key to have in case of an accident or a breakdown. Homeowners insurance is vital because your home is an asset. It keeps your butt out of the cold and protects your family from danger. That insurance and a security system are considered valuable insurance items.

But what about your computer? Do you consider that an asset? Does it help you make money or prevent you from losing it? If you said yes to either question, then consider a PC insurance plan. It is a way to protect your valuable data from corruption, viruses, and physical damage. By not have it you are telling your clients that their information does not matter and that they should not trust their assets with you! You don't want that to happen so consider these insurance methods to protect you...

1. Data Backup. Saving it to an offsite location or cd-RW could save you a lot of time when disaster strikes. Keep it in a fire proof box in case the house gets destroyed.

2. Anti-Virus protection. With all the nasties going through the email make sure you not only invest in this program but make sure it is running and it's up to date at all time.

3. PC Tune up. Like I said earlier, 68% of all pc failures are due to improper maintenance. A monthly tune up aka Jiffy lube will not only do wonders for your pc but also keep the costly pc repair bill down.

4. Firewall. You don't want hackers to steal your valuable data, so protect it behind a strong hardware or software firewall

You know that your computer and your car are more alike than you would like to realize. You don't know much about either, but you need them both to be productive. You don't try to fix or maintain your car yourself so why take that chance with your PC? Let's get you on a maintenance plan today!
