The Tea Party Strategy

The Tea Party Movement is more a tactical maneuver, a strategy to maintain the political base of "white male privilege" than an actual social movement. Up to this point it has been used almost exclusively as a diplomatic Trojan horse capable of diverting the attention of the masses away from the real issues of the day.

To its credit it has been able to successfully exploit very base human emotions like fear and insecurity, which are the cornerstones of intolerance. The visceral anger seemingly promoted at each and every public rally can easily be rationalized as the backflow of an ugly time in American history when bad blood was recycled back to an already defective heart.

Yet the Tea Party Movement continues to somehow side step even the most astute allegations of racism primarily because of its calculated insistence that it is indeed a populist grassroots movement of "We the People," a relatively easy sell to a populace who are already seeking justification for what they feel is unfair and unequal treatment under the guise of reverse discrimination.

The real question of course is who are the people the Tea Party Movement purports to represent?

The Reverse Discrimination Philosophy of the Tea Party Movement

The Tea Partiers mishandling of history does in fact expose their agenda. For instance, the Movement itself and its philosophy behave much like a Fascist Movement with an interest in erasing history by pushing the definition of "individual freedoms" beyond the far right much further than conventional far right politics.

Likewise the distinctive victimization tone, which is forever pregnant with groundless expressions like, "we want our country back," is actually a rejection of pluralism. Mainly because the "we" they exalt is chiefly a rallying cry to reject laissez faire capitalism as it currently exists, which they believe has been designed to accommodate the interests of cultural and ethic groups who receive never-ending government assistance through affirmative action programs as well as welfare subsidies.

Interestingly enough however are the Tea Partiers efforts to veil this truth. Perhaps this too is a smokescreen of sorts to mask an even deeper level of their philosophy, which essentially rejects the very individualism they say they believe in.

What's even more disturbing is their articulated platform, which has established a set of demands and reform proposals that do little or nothing to improve the lives of ordinary people. This is because to the most part Tea Partiers wholly believe in a merit-based aristocracy.

The utter brazenness of the Boston Tea Party costumes, contracted anger and whopping war chants, which are often borrowed sound bites from right-wing populists such as Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly and Glen Beck are all a ruse to obscure this true agenda, which is a radical spin on populism and capitalism.
