Why Rush Limbaugh is STILL an Idiot

Money Man
Sometimes, people make statements that they purposely know are inflammatory. They do it in order to get a reaction out of whatever audience they are reaching. In the case of Rush Limbaugh, his typical audience is a narrow-minded minority of people who believe that the world they inhabit is wrong. That change is wrong. That many of histories past transgressions were not so bad in their eyes. So, the statements that Rush recently made about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama winning the presidential race together as "not a chance" because it would be a "black and a woman" is just another attempt to show that this man and his audience are as narrow and small as his ideas. His statement shows how out of touch this man is with the rest of the country.

As Rush Limbaugh sits in his small, closet of a radio studio everyday, spouting off at the mouth whatever preconceived notion about the world that comes to his idiotic mind, he just proves to himself and the rest of the world, that he really is an idiot. He is an idiot because he has yet to see that a large majority of people, black and white, Jew and gentile, Catholic and Protestant, are starting to realize that you can't judge a person by the color of their skin, or their sex, but by the content of their character. To say that a woman and a black man don't have a chance to be elected president of the greatest democracy in the history of the world just proves that he is not only an idiot, but an oxymoronic idiot. Because, he doesn't realize that the same freedoms that allow him to negatively speak about these two duly-elected officials of the US Senate, without consequences, also allows them to be elected as President of the United States.

Unfortunately, Rush and his cohorts have taken advantage of the freedoms that were granted to them. The reasons why is because they are in defense of the past. They feel that this country should maintain the status quo. They feel a woman and a person of color should not have a chance to become President. They don't want an America that rewards those that work hard. They want an America where only THEY succeed....that only rewards those that have benefited from a past that no longer exists.

Fortunately, their idea of what America should be is a thing of the past. It is still hard to imagine that in such a short period of time, in less than two generations from the civil rights era of the 1960s, that a woman and an African-American man both have an EXCELLENT chance at becoming President. But, the fact that they do, regardless of what that idiot on the radio spouts, is a testimony to the idea that we now live in a progressive, forward-thinking country. It proves this country is not as close-minded and bigoted as the idiot who made these comments in the first place.

Voice - I never said that conservatives are racist. And I never said that you don't have the right to listen to what Rush says, or he doesn't have the right to say what he says. But, luckily MOST people don't listen to what he has to say. It's basically dittoheads (about 8 million of you, not 40 million - 40 million/5 business days = 8 million - do the math) that listen to what he says. Like the idiotic statement he made that I disagree with.

Blowhard - Change for the most part is wrong in the eyes of conservatives. That is the point of the conservative movement. If you are a "liberal conservative" then you are a moderate. Conservatives don't want change in the current political, social and economic policies of our country. They believe that everything is OK as is. Moderates tolerate change, and Liberals want change.

By the way, do not assume by one article where I diminish Rush's idiotic statements that I am a radical liberal. The majority of people disagree with what

So just because you don't like what Rush says therefore the people who listen to him are narrow-minded. I think you just demonstrated the definition of narrow-mindedness. You have labeled everyone -- and it's not a small minority -- 40 million people a week - who listen to Rush as a small minority of idiots just like Rush. I am not a Rush afficionado by the way but I have listened to him. This is still a democracy and therefore we are all free to speak our minds - at least for now. Apparently if you dems get in power you will shut us down due to our "idiocy". Seems freedom is only for liberals. Go out and buy a copy of Liberal Fascism and stare yourself in the face after you read it. Maybe then you can see that you are the narrow-minded one. And by the way, I fought for civil rights in my younger years so don't try your reactionary conservative racist label on me. Not a fit I am afraid!

Conservatives believe in progress for everyone and we believe change is best when measured and well thought out. To change for the sake of you peeps screaming for it is stupid in the extreme. Use your head and not your heart. I feel for the less fortunate, but Christ man, how can throwing away 225 years of tradition and proven effective governance fix anything? If our system is so wrong, so misguided and so unfair, how did we go from upstart to Superpower being one of the youngest nations on the planet? Failed polices do not result in success, now do they, yet success is the only way a NON-PARTISAN could accurately describe the history of the US. Yes, we have made mistakes and we will continue to do so. Nothing is perfect, except for the asinine dreams of the Left. Conservatives live in the real world - not the world of coulda, shoulda.
