1.You will need a clear defined working space. Working from home is challenging, you will have to resist doing chores in your working hours, so make it as easy on yourself as possible and create or define a space that is your home office, and make sure other people within your family know this is your place or work.
2.Write down a list of everything you will need to get your business up and running and create a budget. You do not want to go mad and spend more than you earning kitting your home office out with the latest must have gadgets and gizmos, so write a list and work out what you actually need to get your home office up and running.
3.Get some profession advice, as when having as home in your office you might be allowed to have tax reductions or for example you might have to get more suitable household and contents insurance so seek professional advice and guidance to help you smooth out any creases.

3.More time for work and play - Having your own home based office is good in the fact that it allows you to work from home as and when you like (unless of course your contracted to do certain hours) but regardless of this, working from home still is very flexible. Think of the time you will save not commuting, that time could be perhaps spent working, spending time with your family and so on.

Setting up an office can be done as cheaply or as costly as you like, but here are a few basics that most home based offices/home offices should have:
1.A desk,
2.A chair or chairs dependant on how many people will be using your office
3.Filing cabinet/s,
4.A computer and an internet connection.
5.Sufficient insurance
6.A clock so you can keep to those deadlines
