I personally have had some experience with some of apple's products and I really am impressed, they are constantly attempting to make things easier and safer for the user. They take into consideration the look and design of things and most importantly what they user will love and appreciate about the product. I think their products are really innovative. That is why they are attracting more interest. I have noticed this a lot lately as I randomly visit their stores or centers.
However on the other hand I do in general think that technology should be cheaper. The reason I believe that it should is because it does not hold its value for too long anyway and not only that we are required to either upgrade sooner or later and most of the time sooner comes closer. So I would like like many people to be able to buy the products that really I have so much interest and fun with at a reasonable price and more affordable so that I can then again buy it again as soon as it is time to make that change.
It is like this with many phones too, you just can not hold on to it for too long anyway and not just because of the technological changes but also because most of us really wear it out or even just drop it a few times causing it to become almost annoying to use anyway. That is why the true value of these products should be in terms of use. What I mean is that the price of these products should be determined on the use of them and the limited time that one holds on to them should most certainly be taken into consideration.
If all this was to happen then companies would surely be making more money as people would be able to upgrade their product as soon as it comes in and not wait so long for the price to be as worthy as the item is assumed to be by the user. So in reality people would be buying more of their products and not holding onto to the ones that lose their value because they simply are not in a position financially afford the others that keep coming in.
Of course everyone loves technology but I think we could all enjoy it more if it were more affordable and more accessible to everyone no matter their social status or financial ability. Perhaps one day when they realize this and the potential it has for both the company and its every ready regular consumers then they will deliver. Until then we can all but only dream.
