Why Some Women Love to Cheat on Their Spouses

A person is tempted to cheat on his or her spouse when it feels like something is missing from the relationship. For many women, that missing something is the emotional connection. Indeed, the sorts of affairs that have the most damaging consequences to a marriage are not the ones that are purely physical, but the ones wherein the cheating wife feels that she is in love with her new partner.

This is not to say that all female affairs are directly about emotions; in fact, in some cases, the cheating wife may not be after an emotional attachment at all. In such cases, their physical desire for their husbands changes and deteriorates (which can happen for a plethora of different reasons, including but not limited to changes in appearance on the part of the husband, changes in hormones on the part of the wife, or changes in sexual energy in either party). Although it is never directly the fault of one spouse for the infidelity of the other, some women love to cheat because they feel as though their husbands are not capable of or are not willing to satisfy them sexually, and they then feel inclined to seek out other, more satisfying connections.

Very often, it is a combination of the loss of emotional connection with the loss of physical connection that causes a woman to seek an extra-marital partner who will not only cater to her emotional needs, but her physical ones as well. This happens when a woman feels wholly apart from and neglected by her husband, and seeks out a new partnership wherein she may feel more appreciated.

Of course, some women simply lose respect for their husbands for one reason or another. Some women love to cheat on their spouses because of feelings of inequality between the two of them. Especially in cases where the wife brings more to the table financially than the husband, this inequity can cause her to lose respect for her husband and seek out the company of a man who matches her better in the areas of career and financial goals. Oftentimes unconsciously, many women have a hard time maintaining respect for a man who they see as an inadequate provider. Women like and feel attracted to partners who can take care of them, rather than partners they have to take care of, so it may be difficult for some women to maintain a strong emotional or physical connection with a husband who is not meeting their material needs.

While, as previously stated, it is never directly the fault of the husband for 'forcing' his wife to cheat, the fact of the matter is that women who love to cheat on their spouses do so because they feel, in one area of their marriage or another, that their current partners are inadequate at meeting their needs. In order to avoid this in your own marriage, work hard to keep channels of communication open so that when one partner is feeling that their needs are being neglected, the two of you can work together to find a solution.
