1. Their parents set up a trust fund. Young adults whose parents financially prepare their children for their future will have a bigger head start over their counterparts without help. Many young adults have used their trust fund to pay for college, purchase a car, rent their first apartment, and even to start a small business.
2. Their Parents do not give them everything that they desire. Young adults whose parents make them work for certain things in life learn to be much more independent than their counterparts These children experience their first dose of independence at a young age and are therefore able to adapt easier to independency.
3. Their parents motivate them to get out and try new things. Young adults whose parents encouraged them to be active and more outgoing are also able to thrive better than their peers because they have solid confidence. These young adults were not sheltered and were able to experience different things in life. So their perspective on life became broader and they set their goals higher. These young adults are more courageous and not afraid to venture out on their own.
4. Their parents neglected them. Teens that grew up in abusive homes or homes where the parents neglected them because of drugs or alcohol had to learn how to grow up quickly. These children learned early that fd they did not care for themselves then no one would. Their perspective on life was that of surviving and with this mentality they were able to venture out on their own. In effect, these young adults are very bold and tough skinned. Not wanting to continue the cycle of destruction and misery of their childhood they work hard to create a haven far away from their past.
5. Their parents guide them step by step- Young adults whose parents tell them what they should be doing and when to do it seem to be very successful although some do rebel at such order. Guidance is very crucial to raising balanced children.
6. They never had nice things in life.-Some young adults grow up in poor or low income households during their childhood. These young adults know what it feels like not to have much and so they work hard so that they can have a better future for themselves and their future family.
