Why Do Southerners Talk and Act so Stupid Here in the U.S.A?

Phillip W. Chambley
If your from the Northern part of the U.S.A. such as a big city like New York. The southern part residents of the U.S. speaking and culture may be confusing at times? "Most of these native southern U.S. people talk really slow and have stupid ignorant remarks!" However, all small towns all across the country have their "weird" and unusual ways of life? A lot of Northern and western nationwide citizens move to these small towns in the southern U.S.A. "Thinking life will be different for them?" Wrong! It's still the same for all Americans, even if it means making more money.

Unfortunately, small towns are the same everywhere in the U.S.A., no matter what their daily speaking accent or way of life may be? Ironically, moving to a small town outside of New York, can be just as "Weird?" Small towns of the great U.S.A. seems to have it's own way of thought and daily activities and even the unusual accent of speech or dialect? This is what makes us have such a great FREE country! (If you move to a big city like Atlanta, Ga. you will find that the majority of these people came from another city or even another country).

Other countries have different dialects and cultures. So why shouldn't the southern U.S.A. residents have the same? The majority of U.S. residents came from other countries some time or another. "I will have to admit that a lot of southerners act and talk really stupid at times!" However, you will find here in the U.S.A., people seem to lose all sense of reality in a SMALL TOWN? Simply, because they care and talk about one another and even have their very own way of thought in a small caring U.S.A. community, which is one of the things this great country U.S.A stands for.

Human beings are NOT really different all around the world? If you move to a small town anywhere in the world, the local residents will not accept you at first, simply because you are new? "They may also talk differently?" After you talk to these local people and get to know them, and possibly understand their local speaking language, they may think? "This person is not really that bad?" They may actually show some intelligence in their daily life's eventually and show some personality/intelligence towards you as a local citizen.

The majority of small town U.S.A. southerners have a "Different" and certain way of life that you may not be accustomed to? Which people from up North do NOT seem to understand? A lot of these southern small town confederate "rebels" are still advertising their flag on the back of their pick-up trucks, simply because they lost the war over 100 years ago. "Give me a break?" This is nothing but ignorance mostly found in a tiny small southern 'hick" town here in the U.S.A. "Nowadays these ignorant southern rednecks are gradually fading away?" Nobody cares anymore here in the south who won the war between the states!"

"I mean really? Who cares who won the civil war over 120 years ago?" Decent and loving people here in the south now days only care about how they can survive here in the U.S.A., on a daily basis of the year 2009, because of the slow economy. (Stephen King should pick-up on this article and write about all the southern rednecks whom still care about the war between the states). "These small town southern rednecks are absolutely incredible on a daily basis to watch!"

"In a nutshell reminder, southerners here in the U.S.A. are just NOT that stupid!" It's just another culture that you may not be familiar with. especially if you are from up North? As with any small town here in the world, people may seem "strange or indifferent" wherever you may travel. You must always give them a chance, especially when it comes to teenagers in a local community". They love to express their opinion!

you certainly come across as a rank amateur as a writer, maybe you should go to the local Y and take a course on writing and then you could articulate your points a little more effectively than a common fifth grader
